Walton Goggins Joins Michael B. Jordan And Austin Butler In 'Miami Vice '85'

Walton Goggins is joining Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler in Universal’s upcoming Miami Vice ’85, with sources telling Deadline he’s set to play one of the henchmen working for John Leguizamo’s cartel king. Joseph Kosinski is directing the film, which also stars Whitney Peak, Alden Ehrenreich, Camila Morrone, Danny Ramirez and Leguizamo. The movie is a new take on the classic Miami Vice franchise, set in the glamorous and corrupt world of mid-1980s Miami. Dan Gilroy wrote the screenplay, inspired by the pilot episode of the original NBC series, which ran from 1984 to 1990. The movie will be filmed for IMAX, with production scheduled to begin this year and a theatrical release set for May 19, 2028.

'Fast & Furious' TV Series Officially Greenlit At Peacock

Peacock has officially greenlit the first television series based on the blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise, which has earned more than $7 billion worldwide at the box office over the past 25 years. The series will come from Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, who will write and serve as co-showrunners. Vin Diesel will executive produce alongside franchise veterans including Neal H. Moritz and Chris Morgan. The show is expected to premiere in 2028, the same year Fast Forever, the 11th and final movie in the franchise, is scheduled to hit theaters on March 17. Diesel previously said the move to television came after years of fans asking for more stories involving the franchise's characters. The TV project is being produced by Universal Television. Daniels previously served as showrunner of Peacock's PONIES and has worked on Shades of Blue and Sons of Anarchy, while Coleman has worked on 9-1-1: Lone Star and Shades of Blue. Peacock has also been developing three other Fast & Furious TV projects, but the Daniels-Coleman series is the first one to receive an official greenlight. The franchise launched in 2001 with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez and is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Halle Berry's Ex Accuses Her Of Choking Their 12-Year-Old Son In Custody Fight

Olivier Martinez is seeking sole custody of his and Halle Berry’s 12-year-old son, Maceo, after accusing the actress in court documents of physically abusing him. Martinez alleges Berry jumped on and choked their son during a September 26 incident and claims there have been other alleged incidents, including wrestling Maceo to the ground and putting him in chokeholds. Martinez has filed for a restraining order seeking to keep Berry 100 yards away from him and their son. He also wants her to complete a batterer intervention program and undergo sobriety testing while caring for Maceo. Berry's representatives had not responded to the Daily Mail's request for comment. The former couple currently share 50-50 custody. Their divorce was finalized in 2023 after years of custody disputes. Martinez's filing also alleges past verbal and emotional abuse and claims Berry previously slapped their son. These are allegations contained in Martinez's court filing and have not been established as facts.

Ella Langley Gets Emotional Over Backlash: 'I Don't Know If I'm Strong Enough For This'

Country star Ella Langley opened up about the intense criticism she’s faced during a recent stop on her Dandelion Tour in Columbus, Ohio. During an emotional speech, she said she’s dealt with constant opinions about virtually everything she does — from her appearance and clothes to the way she talks, sings, performs and writes music. She admitted the scrutiny initially made her question whether she could handle fame, saying she got into music because she loved performing, not because she wanted every move analyzed. Langley said her outlook changed when she thought about her younger self — the version of her who spent years traveling in a 15-passenger van and Honda Accord, living on bar food and tip money while chasing her dream. She told the crowd she’s now proud of that younger version of herself rather than letting the criticism define her.

'Ted' Is Going Animated: Peacock Sets December Premiere

Peacock has set December 17 for the premiere of Ted: The Animated Series, bringing Seth MacFarlane’s foul-mouthed teddy bear back with the original movie cast. MacFarlane returns as Ted, with Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Jessica Barth reprising their roles as John, Sam and Tami-Lynn. The eight-episode first batch picks up 12 years after Ted 2, with John and Ted now neighbors, both married with families and stuck in dead-end jobs. Naturally, the two stoners continue enabling each other’s terrible ideas about marriage, parenting and adulthood. Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman join the cast as new characters Apollo and Ruth. Peacock will release eight episodes in December, with additional episodes coming in 2027.

CBS Brings Back 'Undercover Boss'

CBS is expanding its unscripted lineup with three new series, including a reboot of “Undercover Boss” hosted by Drew Carey. The show returns for its 12th season, with corporate executives going undercover inside their own companies to get a firsthand look at employees and operations. CBS also ordered “Stacks of Cash,” a game show hosted by Mike O’Malley, where six contestants answer questions to earn oddly shaped blocks and stack them toward a gold line. One wrong move can send the whole pile crashing down. The series was filmed in Portugal. The third show, “24 Hour Millionaire,” comes from the executive producers of Big Brother. Contestants will compete in nonstop strategy and physical challenges for 24 straight hours, with one player guaranteed to win $1 million. No breaks, no sleep and apparently no regard for anyone’s need to function normally the next morning. CBS says premiere dates and additional details will be announced later.
