Rihanna Shooting Suspect Found Competent To Stand Trial

The woman accused of firing 20 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle at Rihanna’s Los Angeles home has been found competent to stand trial. Ivanna Ortiz, 36, appeared in court yesterday as a judge reinstated criminal proceedings after receiving a mental-health evaluation. Ortiz previously pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling. Prosecutors allege Ortiz drove to Rihanna’s home on March 8 while Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, their three children and Rihanna’s mother were there. Rihanna and Rocky were inside an Airstream trailer when the gunfire erupted. According to police, Rihanna saw bullet holes in the windshield and pulled Rocky to the ground before the couple rushed to protect their children and staff. Investigators say bullets struck the home’s gates, fence and the trailer. A police helicopter later located a white Tesla allegedly fleeing the area, leading to Ortiz’s arrest. Prosecutors have described the shooting as deliberate and dangerous, pointing to allegations that Ortiz arrived with a loaded rifle, ammunition and a wig as a disguise. Before the alleged shooting, Ortiz had reportedly posted videos and messages directly addressing Rihanna, including one in which she referenced Rihanna’s death. Ortiz, who previously worked as a licensed speech pathologist in California, has also been barred from practicing while the criminal case is pending.

Selena Gomez And Benny Blanco Celebrate One Year Of Marriage With A Tradition

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco marked their first wedding anniversary with a very old-school tradition: eating a piece of their wedding cake — which, somehow, had survived an encounter with Martin Short. Blanco shared a photo Sunday of a preserved slice from the couple’s 2025 wedding, writing, “year old cake never tasted so good.” He also posted a wedding photo with the caption, “1 year down… forever to go…” Blanco had previously explained that Gomez’s grandmother told them they were supposed to save part of the cake and eat it on their first anniversary. The problem was, their cake almost didn't make it that long. According to Blanco, Martin Short apparently mistook the small cake at the reception for a decoration or prop and ate part of it with his hand. The cake had to be reconstructed afterward, leaving the couple with six slices to save. Blanco joked that he hoped the tradition only required them to eat the cake on their first anniversary because he didn't want to be eating it six years later. He also admitted he hadn't wrapped it properly and wondered if it might have gotten a little “furry.” Gomez celebrated by posting a photo of herself and Blanco embracing in their custom Ralph Lauren wedding outfits, writing, “Happy anniversary my love. I love you to the moon and back.”

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Could Be Getting A Re-Release With New Footage

Sony is reportedly planning a re-release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with additional footage that could include a previously cut appearance by Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple. Sources say the new version of the Tom Holland and Zendaya movie would contain extra material, including Dawson’s character. Claire Temple is the nurse who has crossed paths with several Marvel superheroes and appeared in shows including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. Dawson previously revealed that she filmed a scene for Brand New Day that ultimately didn't make the theatrical cut. And apparently, Claire isn't the only surprise. More previously unseen footage is expected to be included in the re-release. Sony hasn't announced when the re-release would happen.

Rob Lowe revealed on Watch What Happens Live that a documentary about his life is in the works at Netflix. Lowe says the project has been three years in the making and could be released around Thanksgiving. And Lowe says he isn't trying to control the final product. He's seen cuts and been asked for his thoughts, but he's leaving the final decision to the filmmakers. He described the documentary as “warts and all,” saying it will cover the good, the bad and the ugly of his life.

'Mary Poppins' TV Series In The Works

A live-action Mary Poppins TV series is in development, but this version plans to go beyond the familiar Disney movie. Instead of remaking the 1964 classic starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, the series would draw from P.L. Travers’ original eight books, exploring the much stranger and more mysterious world of the character. The Mary Poppins in the books is described as more unpredictable, mysterious and even dangerous than the cheerful version audiences know from the Disney film. Her adventures can be magical, surreal and occasionally frightening. The project is being developed by Tom Winchester for Pure Fiction Television, which has optioned the rights from the P.L. Travers estate. The series is still in the very early pitch stage, with Winchester talking to potential showrunners. There have also been early conversations with Disney about possibly getting involved, although nothing has been agreed.

Margot Robbie Discreetly Changes Her Last Name In New Business Docs

Margot Robbie is now officially listed under her married name in U.K. business records. Documents for LuckyChap Entertainment, the production company she runs with husband Tom Ackerley, identify the actress as Margot Elise Ackerley, replacing the “Margot Elise Robbie” name used in earlier filings. The change was confirmed last week, just months before the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary. Robbie is expected to continue using Margot Robbie professionally, so don’t expect “Margot Ackerley” suddenly appearing in movie credits. Robbie and Ackerley met while working on Suite Française in 2013, began dating and launched LuckyChap Entertainment together. The company has produced hits including Barbie, I, Tonya and Birds of Prey. The couple married in Australia in December 2016 and have a son, born in October 2024.

Ed Sheeran Loses Nearly 500,000 Instagram Followers Amid Tour Controversy

Ed Sheeran has lost nearly 500,000 Instagram followers in a week as his tour becomes engulfed in controversy over the Israel-Gaza conflict. The backlash followed the removal of opening act Macklemore, followed by other performers leaving the tour. Sheeran addressed the issue emotionally during a Philadelphia concert, saying it had been one of the worst weeks of his life but vowing to continue the tour.

Ella Langley Speaks Out After Breaking Mariah Care's Record For Longest-Running No. 1 Of All Time

Ella Langley credited her hit song “Choosin’ Texas” for “changing her life” after she broke Mariah Carey’s record for the longest run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. “I’m genuinely trying to find the words to help explain what’s going on in my brain today,” Langley said in an Instagram video posted from beside her pool just hours after the record was announced. “Choosin’ Texas” has spent 23 weeks atop the chart since February, surpassing Carey’s 1994 hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which held the record at 22 weeks, accumulated across the holiday seasons from 2019 through 2026. “Thank you so much. Thank you for loving this song. For listening to it. I don’t even know what to say at this point. I’m running out of hyperboles to describe how I feel, so I will just let my dog in the background show you his excitement,” Langley continued. “It’s changing my life. It’s changing the lives of the writers of this song. It’s changing the lives of my family and it is truly growing in atmosphere for something I’m going to be able to do for the rest of my life,” she said.

Kid Rock Freedom Fest Canceled After Just Six VIP Tickets Sell

Patriots Day Freedom Fest, a conservative event in northern Kentucky featuring Kid Rock and other speakers, has been canceled days before it was scheduled to take place. Organizer Eric Deters said only six $1,000 VIP tickets had been sold, and he announced he would not bring the festival back. Deters later pushed back on suggestions that overall attendance was the issue, saying the free event had drawn large crowds in previous years.

Channing Tatum Denies Claims He Is Using A Burner Account To Troll Exes Zoe Kravits And Jenna Dewan

Channing Tatum is shutting down rumors that he’s secretly running an Instagram account called “Nonya Bidness” to take shots at his exes. Fans became suspicious after discovering the account had just one follower — Tatum himself — and appeared to leave snarky comments about his ex-fiancée Zoe Kravitz and her new fiancé Harry Styles. The account also made comments that seemed to reference Tatum’s former wife, Jenna Dewan. Tatum responded directly on his official Instagram, calling the theory “f***ing hilarious” and saying he has no reason to hide a burner account while openly following it. He insisted he has only one Instagram account. Jenna Dewan appeared to back him up by liking a video suggesting “Nonya Bidness” was actually an old Channing Tatum fan page that had changed names several times. The account’s owner also reportedly denied being Tatum. The mystery account had also dissected Tatum’s old comments about Kravitz, including his description of her as one of the most “intentional” people he had ever met. The account interpreted that word as meaning “calculated,” adding fuel to the speculation. Tatum and Kravitz split in October 2024 after about three years together. Kravitz is now engaged to Harry Styles.

Melissa McCarthy Reveals Her Theory On Jonbenet Ramsey Case Ahead Of Netflix Series

Melissa McCarthy is opening up about the JonBenét Ramsey case as she prepares to play JonBenét’s mother, Patsy Ramsey, in Netflix’s upcoming limited series The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey. McCarthy told Variety that her personal feeling is that no one in the Ramsey family was responsible for JonBenét’s death. She acknowledged that she doesn't have the authority to determine what happened, but said she needed to settle on her own belief while portraying Patsy. McCarthy said she researched the case extensively, including police and coroner reports, but stressed that the Netflix series isn't designed as a traditional “whodunnit.” Instead, she described it as a character study examining the Ramsey family and everyone affected by the case. JonBenét was found dead in the basement of her family's Boulder, Colorado, home in December 1996. Her death was ruled a homicide, and the case remains unsolved. Patsy Ramsey died of ovarian cancer in 2006. The series, starring McCarthy and Clive Owen as Patsy and John Ramsey, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix December 10.

Shaq Gets FBI Badge - Immediately Wants Charles Barkley Arrested

Shaquille O’Neal has added a new title to his already ridiculous résumé: honorary FBI special agent. After graduating with FBI National Academy Session 299, Shaq was recognized for his longtime support of law enforcement. But apparently, he had one very specific assignment in mind. During a speech to the graduating class, Shaq told the officers that if they happen to see Charles Barkley, they should arrest him. It was clearly a joke aimed at his longtime friend and Inside the NBA co-host. Shaq has had a real history with law enforcement, including reserve-officer roles with departments in Florida and Georgia. So now he has the badge, the credentials—and apparently a personal warrant for Chuck.

'World War Z' Sequel Officially Moving Forward With New Director

After more than a decade of stalled attempts, Paramount is finally moving ahead with a sequel to World War Z. Brad Pitt will return as both star and producer, with acclaimed filmmaker Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave) stepping in to direct. The original 2013 film — based loosely on Max Brooks’ bestselling novel — became a global blockbuster despite a famously troubled production, earning over $500 million worldwide. Talks of a sequel began immediately, with multiple directors attached over the years, including David Fincher, though none of those versions ever materialized. The new installment features a script by Dennis Kelly, marking the first major movement on the project in years.

Paramount Clears Final Hurdle For Warner Bros. Discovery Deal

Paramount has settled an antitrust lawsuit brought by a group of state attorneys general, clearing the final major obstacle to its planned acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The settlement reportedly includes concessions involving CNN, penalties tied to CEO David Ellison’s production commitments, and temporary separation of some studio operations. The $81 billion equity-value deal had been held up by the lawsuit, which alleged antitrust concerns in cable programming and the film business. The merger has already received federal and international approvals, with the companies now expected to formally announce the closing.

Carrot Top Was Allegedly Extorted Over Sex Tape Before Hospitalization

Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was allegedly being pressured for $500,000 over a sexually explicit video before his recent hospitalization, according to court documents obtained by Page Six. His attorney claims musician Brian Evans threatened to have the video made public if Thompson didn’t pay. Evans denies ever threatening to release the video and says it had already been deleted under a previous settlement. The legal dispute comes as Thompson recovers in the hospital following what TMZ reported as an alleged suicide attempt. His representative has confirmed he’s receiving care and asked for privacy.

"Ride Or Die" Canceled By Prime Video Despite Strong Ratings And Viewership

Prime Video is pulling the plug on Ride Or Die after just one season, despite the Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer action comedy becoming one of the streamer’s biggest new scripted hits. The show hit No. 1 in Prime Video’s U.S. daily rankings shortly after its July debut and remained a strong performer both in the U.S. and internationally. The series also scored with critics, earning a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and reportedly came in under budget. But Prime Video decided not to order Season 2, leaving the show’s cliffhanger ending unresolved. Now Paramount Television Studios, which produces the series, is shopping Ride Or Die to other networks and streamers. The exact reason for the cancellation isn’t clear, although Deadline reports that the show’s appeal to middle-aged women may have worked against it because that audience already heavily uses Amazon Prime for shopping and therefore may not help Amazon attract new subscribers.

Tyler Perry Says He'll Never Get Marries: 'I'm Good Just Being Free'

Tyler Perry says marriage is not in his future. On “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” he said it’s not marriage itself that concerns him—it’s divorce, which he says he has seen leave people financially devastated. Perry also cited getting older and wanting to slow down, spend more time with his 11-year-old son and enjoy life. He joked that watching his own marriage-themed movies may have scared him away from tying the knot.

Tyson discusses his difficult childhood, his years at the center of controversy and his return to the ring for his 2024 fight with Jake Paul. In the trailer, Tyson says he was once “addicted to chaos,” while his children describe a man who, beneath the fame and headlines, was trying to become a good father. Tyson premieres October 13 on Netflix.

AOC Boycotts Ed Sheeran, Blames Billionaires In Macklemore Tour Controversy

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she won’t listen to Ed Sheeran amid the controversy surrounding Macklemore’s removal from Sheeran’s tour. Ocasio-Cortez told TMZ that she sees Sheeran as more of a participant in a larger dispute involving billionaire Robert Kraft and other stadium owners, whom she accuses of using their financial influence to silence Macklemore over his pro-Palestinian views. Ocasio-Cortez said she believes the issue goes beyond Gaza, arguing that powerful people using money to suppress dissent could eventually affect other controversial viewpoints. She also said she understands Sheeran’s position but believes he should publicly speak out. The controversy has already affected Sheeran’s tour, with Finneas and opening act Aaron Rowe pulling out. Sheeran has said the decision to remove Macklemore wasn’t his call, but critics have argued that he should have taken a public stand.

Jessica Chastain Joins Netflix Drama 'The Retrievals'

Jessica Chastain is joining Netflix’s new drama series The Retrievals, alongside previously announced stars Emilia Jones and Amy Ryan. The series comes from Molly Smith Metzler, the creator of Maid and Sirens, and is inspired by the Peabody Award-winning New York Times podcast. Chastain will play Kaitlyn Langford, a former art historian who has spent years undergoing unsuccessful fertility treatments. She discovers she was among the patients at Yale Fertility Center who underwent egg-retrieval surgery without anesthesia after a nurse stole fentanyl and diluted it with saline. Her character becomes a key plaintiff in the resulting lawsuit against Yale. Amy Ryan plays the nurse who pleads guilty, while Emilia Jones plays another affected patient. The series will be produced by LuckyChap, with Margot Robbie among the executive producers.

Paramount May Be Preparing To Leave California As Merger Fight Escalates

Paramount could be preparing to move its studio operations out of California, according to sources cited by TMZ. Officials in the Los Angeles mayor’s office and California Attorney General Rob Bonta’s office were reportedly told an announcement was coming Tuesday, but it never happened. It’s unclear whether the plan was delayed or circumstances changed. The potential move comes as Bonta and 11 other state attorneys general pursue an antitrust lawsuit seeking to block Paramount’s proposed merger with Warner Bros. Paramount CEO David Ellison has previously threatened to move the studio to Texas, Tennessee or Georgia if California doesn’t settle the case. Settlement talks have been ongoing for months without an agreement, with October 1 reportedly set as a deadline before Paramount considers leaving California.

Kim Kardashian Awarded One Euro In Compensation Over 2016 Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian has been awarded one euro in compensation by a Paris court, nearly 10 years after she was robbed at gunpoint during a 2016 stay in the French capital. Kardashian lost an estimated $10 million in jewelry, including a $4 million engagement ring that was never recovered. She said the robbery was deeply traumatic and that the court’s decision was about accountability and recognition, rather than the money. The one-euro award was the amount Kardashian requested. Her stylist, Simone Harouche, also received one euro, while a hotel receptionist was awarded more than 109,000 euros.

Ben Affleck And Kerry Washington Race To Save Their Kidnapped Son In 'Animals' Trailer

Netflix has released the trailer for “Animals,” a new crime thriller starring Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington. Affleck plays a Los Angeles mayoral candidate whose world falls apart when his son is kidnapped and he and his wife are forced to come up with a ransom. The trailer suggests saving their son could require the couple to make some very compromising—and potentially incriminating—decisions. The kidnapping also threatens to derail Affleck’s political ambitions, while Gillian Anderson appears to have a mysterious role in the escalating mess. Affleck directed the movie, marking his first time back in the director’s chair since 2023’s “Air.” “Animals” hits select theaters and Netflix October 9th.

Tom Cruise Has A Warning For Anyone Who Works With Him: 'The Rumors Are True'

Tom Cruise is confirming what Hollywood has apparently been whispering about for years: he’s intense—and he knows it. In a new GQ interview, Cruise said he works extremely hard, expects a lot from the people around him, and makes those expectations clear before they start working together. Cruise says he’s been called intense since he was a kid, but he embraces it. When he gets interested in something, he wants to learn everything about it and “blast through the confusion” until he understands it. He also says he prefers talking face-to-face rather than getting long emails, telling collaborators, essentially, skip the novel and come talk to him. Cruise also remains a big believer in the theatrical movie experience because of the communal feeling of audiences watching a film together.

Helen Mirren Ditches Doctors And Asks AI: 'And It's Working!"

Helen Mirren says she avoids doctors and has found a new source for health advice: AI. The star says she's basically the opposite of a hypochondriac and tends to ignore health problems rather than obsess over them. When a co-star joked he'd love to have a doctor living in his house, Mirren had the answer: “You do. It’s called AI.” She says she asks AI about aches and pains and finds it “amazing.” Despite skipping trips to the doctor, Mirren says she stays healthy by watching her diet and exercising. She's also been doing a 12-minute Canadian Air Force exercise routine for roughly 60 years. So apparently her health plan is fish and chips, push-ups and asking a computer, “Should I be worried about this?”

Tom Holland Swings To The Top Of Hollywood's Money Mountain

Tom Holland is officially sitting at the top of the Hollywood box office food chain. The actor has reportedly become the highest-grossing actor in history after a monster summer starring in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has pulled in a staggering $2.45 billion worldwide, while The Odyssey has added another $1.68 billion. Those numbers have pushed Holland's career box office total to $15.5 billion, narrowly passing Zoe Saldana and Scarlett Johansson. And Holland isn't just making studios rich. Reports say he could personally make at least $100 million from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, thanks to a $20 million upfront salary and a massive backend deal. Not bad for a guy who started his Marvel career making $250,000 in Captain America: Civil War. Apparently, with great power comes great paychecks.

Box Office: 'Practical Magic 2' Fizzles With $30 Million Debut

Whatever spell conjured by the witchy Owens sisters, played onscreen by Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman in two “Practical Magic” movies, wasn’t powerful enough to lure audiences to theaters.

Despite a first-place finish, “Practical Magic 2” disappointed in its box office debut with $30 million from 4,146 North American theaters, arriving on the lower end of expectations. Overseas, the Warner Bros. fantasy sequel collected a dismal $16 million from 77 markets for a global weekend tally of $46 million.

What’s concerning is, when adjusting for inflation, initial domestic ticket sales for the follow-up are similar to 1998’s “Practical Magic,” a box office flop turned eventual cult favorite. The original movie, revolving around sisters who fight off a curse that kills the men they fall in love with, launched to $13 million, which is roughly $27 million in today’s dollars. Since the sequel carries a substantial $75 million price tag (not including the tens of millions on global marketing efforts), Warner Bros. is banking on nostalgia and the star power of Kidman and Bullock to help “Practical Magic 2” rebound in the coming weeks.

Despite a lackluster start, “Practical Magic 2” gets bragging rights for opening at No. 1 and ending the six-weekend reign of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” And the “Practical Magic” sequel launched ahead of several fellow newcomers, including “Runner,” an action comedy from Angel Studios and “The Uprising,” a period drama starring Andrew Garfield. Overall, this weekend is down significantly (about 43%, according to Rentrak) from the same frame in 2025 when Sony and Crunchyroll’s “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” surprised with a massive $70.6 million debut.

“This is shaping up to be a solid, if somewhat subdued, early-fall weekend,” says Paul Dergarabedian, Rentrak’s head of marketplace trends. “This weekend is less about one movie dominating the conversation and more about several films contributing to the overall marketplace.”

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” slid to No. 2 with $8.6 million in its seventh weekend of release. So far, Sony’s comic book sequel has generated a staggering $935 million in North America and $2.4 billion globally. By Monday, it’ll be the highest-grossing movie in domestic box office history, supplanting the record held by 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” with $936 million, not adjusted for inflation.

In third place, “The Odyssey” raked in $8.1 million from 1,983 theaters and brought domestic ticket sales to $601 million after nine weekends on the big screen. Christopher Nolan’s star-studded blockbuster has been on an epic box office run and now ranks as Universal’s highest grossing release with $1.68 billion worldwide. The previous benchmark holder was 2015’s “Jurassic World” with $1.67 billion globally.

“Coyote vs. Acme” landed in fourth place with $6.3 million from 3,355 venues in its third weekend, a 47% decline from its prior outing. The “Looney Tunes” spinoff has been a hit with $47.8 million domestically to date. Indie distributor Ketchup Entertainment nabbed the well-reviewed “Coyote vs. Acme” after Warner Bros. shelved the completed film as a $30 million tax write-off.

“Runner” rounded out the top five with a lackluster $6 million from 2,568 venues in its first weekend of release. Although reviews were tepid, audiences awarded the movie a solid “A-” grade on CinemaScore exit polls. “Runner” follows a former Navy SEAL on a journey to deliver a life-saving medicine to a sick child while running from the cartel.

At No. 8, “The Uprising” misfired with $3.25 million from 2,068 theaters in its debut. Paul Greengrass (“Bourne” franchise, “United 93”) directed the movie, which stars Garfield as a rebellion leader who inspired the legend of Robin Hood. “The Uprising” earned a “B-” grade on CinemaScore, which doesn’t bode well for box office longevity. Focus Features, which is distributing the movie, acquired North American rights for $12 million.

In limited release, Neon’s South Korean sci-fi action thriller “Hope” debuted at No. 7 with $3.3 million from 1,560 locations over the weekend. The genre-bending film has earned $5 million in the U.S. since Wednesday. “Hope” is already one of South Korea’s highest-grossing releases of the year with $36.2 million since mid July. Directed by Na Hong-jin, “Hope” takes place in an isolated coastal town in South Korea as a mysterious creature begins terrorizing residents.

Another newcomer, Disney’s music documentary “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger,” failed to crack the top 10, launching in 11th place with $1.5 million from 1,225 screens. The movie also earned $6.8 million overseas for a worldwide start of $8.2 million. The concert film follows Liam and Noel Gallagher of the legendary British band Oasis as they reunite for the first time since 2009. Along with behind-the-scenes footage from their hugely successful world tour, “Don’t Look Back in Anger” boasts the first joint interview in two decades with the brothers, who famously don’t get along. Reception has been rapturous for the “Oasis” doc, which bowed last week at the Venice Film Festival.

Gary Oldman Says HBO's 'Harry Potter' TV Series Will Be 'More Satisfying' Than The Movies

Gary Oldman says HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series could be more satisfying for fans than the original movies because it will have far more time to include details from the books. Oldman, who played Sirius Black in the film franchise, said the movies had to cut major character moments and storylines to keep their running times manageable. He believes the new series will be able to follow the books much more closely and give fans the depth the films couldn't fit in. The new Harry Potter series is scheduled to debut around Christmas 2026 on HBO and HBO Max with an entirely new cast.

Her next move is producing Adam's Law, a small-claims court show starring her son, Adam Levy, who she says is finally ready to carry the family gavel. Levy has experience as a lawyer, former district attorney and TV judge, and Adam's Law is set to debut today.

Aaron Rodgers Drops Explosive Claims About Shailene Woodley And Danica Patrick

Aaron Rodgers is airing out some seriously personal relationship drama. During a new podcast interview, the quarterback made claims about both ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley and former girlfriend Danica Patrick. Rodgers claimed Woodley told him shortly after he proposed that she wanted to sleep with another man before they got married. He insisted their relationship was essentially over by early 2022 and pushed back against Woodley's previous description of their split as traumatic. Rodgers also took shots at Danica Patrick, claiming she was depressed during their relationship and that the couple had intimacy issues. Patrick previously described her relationship with Rodgers as emotionally abusive and said it left her feeling worn down. Rodgers, now married to a woman named Brittani, says he's tired of his exes telling their versions of what happened.

Alec Baldwin Begs Critics To 'Leave Me Alone' In Emotional Rust Trial Documentary

Alec Baldwin is opening up about one of the darkest chapters of his life in a new documentary, The Trial of Alec Baldwin, which takes viewers behind the scenes of the legal battle following the fatal 2021 shooting on the set of Rust. In the newly released trailer, Baldwin becomes emotional as he recalls the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed when a prop revolver he was holding discharged during filming in New Mexico. Director Joel Souza was also injured. Baldwin has maintained that he never pulled the trigger and believed the gun contained no live ammunition. At one point, Baldwin admits he desperately wanted to be acquitted so he could simply walk away and have everyone "leave me alone." He also reflects on learning that Hutchins had died, saying he was in shock and that he would have done anything possible to bring her back. Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter charge was dismissed by a New Mexico judge in 2024 after prosecutors were found to have improperly handled evidence. Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, meanwhile, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months before being released early. The documentary also features Baldwin's wife, Hilaria, as the family deals with intense media attention and the emotional fallout from the case. Cameras reportedly followed Baldwin beginning in 2023 as the legal drama unfolded. And there's an interesting connection involving the president: the documentary is directed by Rory Kennedy, the sister of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who serves as President Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services. Baldwin, of course, is also famous for portraying President Trump on Saturday Night Live. The Trial of Alec Baldwin hits theaters October 1 and promises to show Baldwin, in his own words, at what he calls some of the worst moments of his life.

'Hawaii Five-O' Movie Finally Heading To The Big Screen

Hawaii Five-O is reportedly getting the big-screen treatment. Paramount Pictures is putting together a new Hawaii Five-O movie, with red-hot director Destin Daniel Cretton set to develop and direct. Cretton recently directed Spider-Man: Brand New Day and previously helmed Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The script will reportedly be written by Chris Bremner, who worked on Bad Boys for Life, along with Noah Oppenheim. The project is being developed with the estate of original Hawaii Five-O creator Leonard Freeman. The original series ran on CBS from 1968 to 1980 and starred Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett, the tough Hawaii lawman who led an elite state police task force. The show became famous for its unforgettable theme song, spectacular Hawaiian scenery and, of course, McGarrett's signature line: "Book 'em, Danno!"

Jacob Elordi's Box Office Flop Sparks Talk of The 'Kardashian Curse'

Jacob Elordi's latest movie is taking a serious beating at the box office. The actor stars in Ridley Scott's big-budget post-apocalyptic drama The Dog Stars, which reportedly cost more than $100 million to make but has struggled to find an audience since its August 27 release. The film opened to just $623,000 in Australia and has earned around $45 million worldwide so far. Critics haven't been kind either, with the movie debuting at just 38 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and receiving some downright brutal reviews. The disappointing performance comes after Elordi's recent string of hits, including Saltburn, Priscilla, Wuthering Heights and Euphoria. Naturally, some people online are blaming the so-called "Kardashian curse" following Elordi's romance with Kendall Jenner, which went public earlier this year. Of course, others have a simpler explanation: maybe it's not a curse... maybe people just didn't want to see the movie.

Michael Kelly Joins 'Landman' For Season 3 As Series Regular

Landman is adding another big name for Season 3. Michael Kelly, known for Lioness and The Penguin, has joined the Paramount+ drama as a series regular. Kelly will play William Crockett, the leader of the world's largest oil management firm — a powerful industry titan who apparently walks into a room smelling like efficiency and expensive cologne. Details about the Season 3 storyline are still under wraps, but Kelly joins a cast led by Billy Bob Thornton, along with Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter and Sam Elliott. The Taylor Sheridan series is set in the high-stakes oil world of West Texas, where fortunes are made, secrets pile up, and apparently nobody gets to have a relaxing day at the office.

Report: Jimmy Kimmel LIve To End After 24 Years Following Host's Suspension And War Of Words With Trump

Jimmy Kimmel's late-night run may be coming to an end after 24 years. Sources told Page Six that Jimmy Kimmel Live! is expected to wrap up in 2027, with Kimmel's contract reportedly not being extended and his final episode possibly airing in May. However, ABC is pushing back on the report, calling any claims about the show's future "purely speculative." Kimmel's representatives also pointed to ABC's statement without directly denying the contract report. The alleged decision comes after a rocky stretch for Kimmel, including his suspension last year over controversial comments about the murder of Charlie Kirk. His show returned less than a week later and pulled in its biggest audience in more than a decade. Sources say President Trump's long-running feud with Kimmel is reportedly not behind the potential cancellation, with cost-cutting and restructuring at Disney and ABC being cited instead. There has also reportedly been chatter that Kimmel has been exploring other shows and podcast opportunities.

Original 'Star Wars' Heading Back To Theaters In IMAX For 50th Anniversary

The original Star Wars is heading back to theaters in a big way for its 50th anniversary. Disney, Lucasfilm and IMAX have announced that the 1977 sci-fi classic will return to the big screen next year — and for the first time ever, it will be presented in IMAX. The movie previously returned to theaters for its 20th anniversary in 1997 with George Lucas’ Special Edition updates, becoming a box-office hit all over again. This time around, fans will get to experience Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and the galaxy far, far away on an even bigger scale. And because apparently one trip back to the galaxy isn't enough, the new Star Wars: Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling, is also set to hit theaters May 28.

South Park Becomes 'South America' In Latest Jab At President Trump

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are making what they call a “big change” to their long-running animated series — at least temporarily. The two announced that South Park is now apparently being called “South America.” The announcement is a jab at President Trump and his recent efforts to rename geographical landmarks with the word “America.” Parker and Stone said they were inspired by “the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google” and also took a shot at their parent company, Paramount, calling it “a Skydance Capitulation.” The announcement came with a promotional image showing an “AMERICA” sticker plastered over the fictional Colorado town's sign. The new season premieres September 16, although the show still appears as South Park on Paramount+.

Gary Oldman Claims James Bond Has Been Cast, As He Backs Jack Lowden To Play 007

Gary Oldman may have just shaken up the James Bond rumor mill. The actor says the next 007 has apparently already been chosen, even though Amazon MGM Studios hasn't made an official announcement. Oldman made the comments while promoting Slow Horses, where he stars alongside Scottish actor Jack Lowden — and Oldman made it clear he's rooting for his co-star. Lowden has been rumored to be on the shortlist for the coveted role, and Oldman said his “fingers are crossed” for him. But then Oldman added that a choice has already been made and fans should find out soon. The big question is whether Oldman accidentally revealed that Lowden himself is the new James Bond, or whether he simply meant the studio has selected someone and is keeping the name under wraps for now.

Regan Hutsell From Texas Crowned Miss American 2027

Regan Hutsell of Texas is the new Miss America 2027. Hutsell was crowned Sunday night in West Palm Beach, Florida, beating out delegates from all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She becomes the 99th woman to wear the Miss America crown and will also receive scholarship money as part of her prize. Miss Louisiana Shelby Bordelon finished as first runner-up, while Miss Illinois Kate Dimmett took second runner-up. Hutsell received the crown from outgoing Miss America 2026 Cassie Donegan, who spent the past year traveling the country for appearances, charity work and singing performances—including the national anthem at the Daytona 500.

Oliva Rodrigo Picks The Actress She Wants To Play Her In Biopic

Olivia Rodrigo already has an actress in mind to play her if her life ever becomes a movie: Monica Barbaro. During a conversation with filmmaker Cameron Crowe at the Grammy Museum, Rodrigo said she sometimes sees photos of Barbaro and briefly thinks she’s looking at herself. Barbaro has already played a music legend, portraying Joan Baez in A Complete Unknown. Rodrigo even joked that she could play herself and suggested she and Crowe “sidebar” about making the movie happen.

Spencer Pratt Blasts Ryan Reynolds Over His Take On The 'Traumatic' 1980s

Spencer Pratt is taking aim at Ryan Reynolds after the actor described the 1980s as a “brutal” and “tumultuous” decade that people now remember through a nostalgic filter. Reynolds, who was born in 1976, said people tend to look back on the era and focus on things like Top Gun and the cocaine-fueled pop culture of the time while forgetting the political tensions and other serious problems. He argued that people living through today’s era may eventually look back on it just as fondly, saying, “We’re living in the frickin’ salad days. We just don’t know it.” That didn't sit well with Pratt. The reality star, who unsuccessfully ran for Los Angeles mayor earlier this year, unloaded on Reynolds on X, calling him a “tool” and accusing Hollywood types of making ordinary Americans dislike them. Pratt wrote that while he is trying to bring film jobs back to Los Angeles, celebrities are making things worse with comments like Reynolds’. He finished with a jab at Reynolds’ advertising career: “Hollywood is seriously its own worst enemy. Just stick to the Cricket wireless ads, dude.” Reynolds has appeared in wireless commercials and previously held a stake in Mint Mobile.

Dr. Phil Accuses Government of 80 Year UFO Cover-Op

Dr. Phil McGraw is blasting the government over what he says is an 80-year cover-up of UFO information. In a new video, he claimed the government has been deceiving Americans about unexplained sightings and is still keeping the public out of the process. McGraw pointed to more than 1,800 UFO reports that he says have never been investigated by the Pentagon. He says the problem is that ordinary Americans have no official way to report a UFO sighting directly to the government. Right now, reporting is limited to current or former federal employees, military personnel, contractors and pilots. McGraw says that leaves roughly 93% of Americans without a government reporting channel. He acknowledged that many sightings could have ordinary explanations—but argues that investigators should at least look into them. His question: What about the one percent that can't be explained? The Pentagon's UFO office, known as AARO, says it plans to eventually expand reporting to the general public, but it currently doesn't accept reports from ordinary citizens. McGraw says that isn't good enough, especially as the government continues releasing UFO-related documents, photos and videos that have largely failed to produce definitive evidence of extraterrestrial life. President Trump ordered the Department of War in February to oversee the declassification and release of UFO-related records. So far, five batches of files have been released. McGraw isn't convinced the disclosures tell the whole story. He says 80 years of being told “trust us” have gotten Americans nowhere—and when it comes to UFOs, he says, “I don’t trust them about this at all.”

Freddie Mercury's Closest Friend Reveals The Man Behind The Legend

Mary Austin, Freddie Mercury’s former fiancée and lifelong confidante, is giving fans an unusually intimate look at the Queen frontman in her new book, A Life in Lyrics. Austin spent years with Mercury and inherited his beloved Garden Lodge home after his death in 1991. While preparing to auction some of his possessions, she and her sons discovered a treasure hidden in the upholstered piano stool beneath the Yamaha grand piano where Mercury wrote some of Queen’s biggest hits, including “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Are the Champions.” The book features Mercury’s handwritten lyrics, personal photos and Austin’s memories of their relationship. She also discusses the painful transition from romance to friendship after Mercury told her he was bisexual in 1977, saying their friendship became something even rarer and more meaningful. Austin says she has never watched the 2018 movie Bohemian Rhapsody because she lived the story herself and didn’t want to see someone else’s version of it. She also reveals how much Mercury adored his cats, including Delilah, who inspired the Queen song of the same name. And she recalls pushing Mercury to perform at Live Aid in 1985 — only to have him stop speaking to her before the concert. She watched from the crowd as Queen delivered the legendary performance that helped revive the band. Austin says putting the book together helped her finally see Mercury from a different perspective — not just as the man she knew, but as the extraordinary performer the rest of the world saw.

The story centers on Harry, Ron and Hermione investigating the mystery of the Philosopher’s Stone and includes several iconic moments from the first book, including the mountain troll, the giant chess match and the Mirror of Erised. HBO plans to adapt all seven J.K. Rowling books across seven seasons. The first season will have eight episodes covering The Sorcerer’s Stone and is scheduled to premiere at Christmas. Lizzo Tour Company Wins Harassment Lawsuit

A federal judge in California has thrown out the remaining claims against Lizzo’s touring company stemming from a 2023 lawsuit filed by former wardrobe employee Asha Williams. Williams accused Lizzo’s tour operation of sexual and racial harassment, along with being subjected to racist and fatphobic comments and grueling work hours during Lizzo’s 2023 Special Tour. The lawsuit originally named Lizzo personally, but those claims were dismissed in 2024. Now, the remaining case against her touring company and other defendants has been tossed out on summary judgment. Lizzo’s attorney called the ruling a “total victory” and said the legal team is exploring options to enforce the defendants’ rights following the win. Lizzo denied the allegations when the lawsuit was filed, calling them false and saying the claims were too outrageous to ignore.

Jurassic Park Mosquito Fossil Sells For Over $400K At Auction Featuring Legendary Hollywood Props

The mosquito fossil prop from the opening of Jurassic Park just sold for $403,200 at a Hollywood memorabilia auction. It’s the screen-matched piece that sets the whole movie in motion — the mosquito trapped in amber that eventually leads to the creation of the dinosaurs. Other big sales included John Travolta’s white suit from Saturday Night Fever for $277,200, Christopher Reeve’s Superman costume for $233,100, and a Star Trek phaser for $315,000. There was also Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man armor for $138,600, Val Kilmer’s Tombstone whiskey cup for $119,700, Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean hat for $100,800 — and Michael Jackson’s Thriller prosthetic teeth for $47,250.

Dennis Quaid Is A Hitman Fighting Crime From A Flower Shop In The Florist

Dennis Quaid is trading bouquets for bullets in his new action movie, The Florist, hitting theaters October 9. Quaid plays a meticulous hitman who hides in plain sight by running a quiet neighborhood flower shop. His peaceful cover gets blown when a teenage runaway, played by Sky Katz, shows up claiming she witnessed something terrible. She basically asks, “How are you going to protect me? You own a flower shop.” Quaid’s response: “Trust me.” And apparently, she does—because the movie quickly turns into shootouts, explosions and Quaid taking on a drug cartel and corrupt cops while protecting the girl. The movie is directed by Babak Najafi, who also directed London Has Fallen, and co-stars Jean Reno.

Gal Gadot Says She's Done With Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot says she wasn’t surprised when James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Studios regime moved on without her as Wonder Woman. Gadot first played Diana Prince in 2016’s Batman v Superman, then starred in Wonder Woman and returned for Justice League and Wonder Woman 1984. A third Wonder Woman was being developed with director Patty Jenkins, but that project was scrapped after Gunn and Safran took over DC. In a new interview, Gadot said she watched how other members of the old DC Universe were treated—including Henry Cavill and Jenkins—and wasn’t shocked by what happened to her. She said she’s grateful she got the chance to wear the Wonder Woman costume and emphasized that the character was never really hers to own. Gadot also made it pretty clear that even if DC came calling, she probably wouldn’t return for a third movie. Gadot, who has four children, said her life has changed and committing to another lengthy Wonder Woman production would mean being away from her family and dealing with different schools and schedules.

Mel Gibson Slammed For Mocking Deaf ASL Interpreter On Stage At Fan Expo

Mel Gibson is facing backlash after a video appeared to show him making exaggerated hand gestures behind an American Sign Language interpreter at Fan Expo Canada in Toronto. Critics accused the actor of mocking the interpreter and deaf culture. Gibson apologized, saying his behavior was “spontaneous thoughtless idiocy” and insisting there was no malicious intent. The incident is drawing renewed attention because of Gibson’s long history of controversies, including past antisemitic and racist remarks and a 2011 no-contest plea for battering his former girlfriend.

They previously tried selling it for $54.2 million in 2022, then rented it out for $174,000 a month. The three-story apartment overlooks the Hudson River and features huge entertaining spaces, a library, recreation room and terrace. The listing doesn't mention Jackman's name and offers only limited showings.
