Ben Affleck says Rosamund Pike’s chilling performance in the 2014 thriller Gone Girl still intimidates him more than a decade later. Affleck, who played Nick Dunne opposite Pike’s mysterious wife, Amy, told Variety that he’s “still afraid” of his former co-star. He joked that whenever they speak, Pike still has the same unsettling look she brought to the film, even imitating her British accent before quipping, “Oh, f–k.” Affleck praised Pike’s performance, calling her great in the movie, and also described director David Fincher as one of the greatest filmmakers ever. Gone Girl follows the disappearance of Amy Dunne, which turns her husband into the prime suspect as the investigation reveals that their seemingly perfect marriage is far more complicated than it appears. Pike earned an Oscar nomination for her role.
