Russell Brand Says No One Would Testify On His Behalf In Rape Trial
Categories: Entertainment
Russell Brand took the witness stand in a London court yesterday, denying allegations of sexual assault involving six women. The star faces seven charges and has pleaded not guilty to all of them. During testimony, Brand said the allegations have consumed his life since they became public in 2023, admitted he was obsessed with sex when he was younger, and said he couldn’t find anyone to testify on his behalf. Prosecutors accused him of being calculating in his alleged treatment of women. Brand said he doesn’t remember some encounters but insisted consent is non-negotiable. The trial is continuing at Southwark Crown Court.
