"Hunger Games" Prequel Is Coming In November

The first official trailer for “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” is out, having marked its big debut at CinemaCon 2023 yesterday. The teaser reveals a lineup of new, albeit familiar, faces to head up the movie - including “West Side Story’s” Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schafer of “Euphoria,” and Viola Davis. Rewinding the clock 64 years before the rebellions of Jennifer Lawrence’s “Hunger Games,” the new movie pulls viewers into the 2020 prequel novel by Suzanne Collins, who also penned the first series. The dystopian action adventure follows young President Snow (previously played by Donald Sutherland in the first franchise) long before he becomes a white rose-sniffing tyrant. Instead, in “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” the president is just 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, a boy who has been tapped to mentor District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird (Zegler) in the 10th annual Hunger Games. “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” is expected to appear in theaters on Nov. 17, 2023.

One viewer warned others not to bother, calling it an infomercial. Another viewer, who was struggling financially due to caring for a sick husband, was disappointed that the event turned into a sales pitch that they couldn't afford. Michael Jordan Manson Burglarized

An 18-year-old is facing charges, including criminal damage to Michael Jordan's $15 million mansion, which was broken into this week. Police in Highland Park, Illinois, were alerted to a robbery in progress at the 2700 block of Point Lane around 4:10 PM on Tuesday, by neighbors. Jordan's former Chicago Bulls' residence was the target of the break-in, and when the police arrived, they found the intruder, Raiden Hagedorn, still inside the massive 56,000-square-foot home. Hagedorn was arrested and charged with misdemeanors, including criminal trespass to an occupied residence and two counts of criminal damage to property. Fortunately, Jordan wasn't present during the incident; he hasn't resided at the property since 2012, when he put it up for sale. The mansion boasts 9 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, an indoor basketball gymnasium, an infinity pool, a tennis court, and even a cigar room.

Aniston explained that she had not taken the necessary steps to check the car's condition before buying it, calling it a "nice 25-year-old mistake."

Dennis Quaid Warns Fox News About Power Grid Catastrophe

Actor Dennis Quaid recently appeared on Fox News host Jesse Watters' show to discuss the potential dangers of the nation's power grid going down. Quaid serves as narrator for the documentary Grid Down, Power Up, which explores the consequences of living without electricity for an extended period of time. Despite the severity of the situation, Quaid expressed concern about the lack of a real plan or funding to respond to such an event. He pointed out that there have already been several attacks on substations, which could potentially cause widespread power outages. Quaid also referenced his 2004 disaster movie, The Day After Tomorrow, to emphasize the possibility of such a catastrophic event happening in real life. Without electricity, basic necessities such as water, gas, and food would become scarce, and society could quickly regress to a much earlier time period. Quaid warned that if the power grid were to go down, it could be even more devastating than the Covid pandemic.
