Chris Pratt has confirmed he’ll reprise his role as Star-Lord, the wisecracking, music-loving hero he’s played since 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Pratt said he’s been having ongoing conversations with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and executive Lou D’Esposito about bringing Peter Quill back, adding that fans will see Star-Lord again, although he can’t reveal when. Pratt previously revealed he pitched Feige his own vision for the character’s future, saying he believes the idea is “f---ing great.” Star-Lord last appeared in 2023’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which teased his return in its closing credits. Pratt wasn’t included in the announced cast for Avengers: Doomsday, but that doesn’t rule out a surprise appearance. He could also return in Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled to follow a year later.
