Matthew McConaughey is reflecting on his recent experience aboard a Lufthansa flight that encountered severe turbulence. The actor was traveling with his wife, Camila Alves, en route from Austin, Texas, to Frankfurt, Germany when the flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport in Virginia. In a preview clip of his upcoming appearance on the Let's Talk Off Camera podcast shared by ET, McConaughey described the experience as "suspended disbelief," akin to zero gravity. Alves had previously shared on Instagram that "the plane dropped almost 4000 feet." McConaughey elaborated on the incident, describing how he immediately made sure his wife had her seatbelt on and that his tray table held him down as his food and belongings were suspended in mid-air. Despite the terrifying ordeal, he found relief in the fact that a friend of his sitting next to him, who happened to be a pilot, assured him that the plane was structurally sound and could withstand the turbulence.
