Taking to Instagram, Stone commented on a post by Access Hollywood about Patti LuPone's disapproval of the decision. "Acting...it's not brain surgery, but it is an art," Stone wrote. "We studied, we suffered, we do suffer for it. Ten thousand hours of practice, it's a thing." Stone appeared to reference Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers, which argues that mastery in any field requires approximately 10,000 hours of practice. Kardashian had previously announced her role in the upcoming 12th season of the popular horror anthology series.
