The original Star Wars is heading back to theaters in a big way for its 50th anniversary. Disney, Lucasfilm and IMAX have announced that the 1977 sci-fi classic will return to the big screen next year — and for the first time ever, it will be presented in IMAX. The movie previously returned to theaters for its 20th anniversary in 1997 with George Lucas’ Special Edition updates, becoming a box-office hit all over again. This time around, fans will get to experience Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and the galaxy far, far away on an even bigger scale. And because apparently one trip back to the galaxy isn't enough, the new Star Wars: Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling, is also set to hit theaters May 28.
