The actor stars in Ridley Scott's big-budget post-apocalyptic drama The Dog Stars, which reportedly cost more than $100 million to make but has struggled to find an audience since its August 27 release. The film opened to just $623,000 in Australia and has earned around $45 million worldwide so far. Critics haven't been kind either, with the movie debuting at just 38 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and receiving some downright brutal reviews. The disappointing performance comes after Elordi's recent string of hits, including Saltburn, Priscilla, Wuthering Heights and Euphoria. Naturally, some people online are blaming the so-called "Kardashian curse" following Elordi's romance with Kendall Jenner, which went public earlier this year. Of course, others have a simpler explanation: maybe it's not a curse... maybe people just didn't want to see the movie.
