Gaye King Dumped A Guy After He Asked To Borrow $4,000 For Child Support

During an interview on The Pivot Podcast, Gayle King opened up about her dating experiences. Gayle disclosed that her success and fame have often posed challenges in finding a suitable partner. She shared, "What’s difficult is that people say, ‘Oh, you’re so intimidating.’ Somebody said to me once, ‘Gayle, look at your shoes … look at your bag, look at your coat. You’re friends with Oprah [Winfrey].’ A guy looks at that and says, ‘I can’t compete with that.’ But my thing is, it’s not a matter of competing. I’m not looking for someone to compete." Gayle went on to recount the incident that led her to end her relationship with her previous beau. "I went on a date. I was really excited, very excited about it," she said. "We’d gone out maybe two months, and then he said he really needed to talk to me. He wanted to have a private conversation…[he said,] ‘Do you think you could lend me $4,000?’ I’m like, oh God." Upon learning of the request, Oprah had an epic response. "You know what Oprah said, ‘God, I would have felt better if he had said $40,000,’” King explained. "I was so crushed because he was somebody who was making, you know, six figures, successful. And when I said, you know, could I ask what it’s for? He said, Yeah, it was for a child support issue and to pay a payment on some furniture. [And I said to myself] ‘Oh God, this is just getting worse.’” Despite lending the money, the relationship didn’t endure much longer.

Kevin James On A Possible "King Of Queens" Revival

Kevin James was asked about reviving “The King of Queens.” “I would never say never,” James told The NY Post. “They were asking me about [rebooting] ‘King of Queens’ and I don’t think that’s possible because a third of that big core cast is gone.” James was referring to Jerry Stiller, who played oddball father-in-law Arthur Spooner on the CBS show, which aired from 1998-2007 with James and Leah Remini in the lead roles. “Jerry Stiller was such an amazing part of that show,” James said. “To me, it would be hard to do it without him and I don’t know how that would work.” He didn’t completely write off the idea of doing a reboot, however. “It can work — they did it with ‘Frasier’ [on Paramount+] … but it depends on the show and the story and if there’s more to tell or if you’re just getting back together to get back together,” he said. “It’s tough to recapture that nostalgia, it really is.”

The Real Reason Woody Harrelson Skipped The 'Cheers' Emmys 2024 Reunion

Monday night’s Emmys saw the cast of “Cheers” reunite, with Ted Danson, Rhea Perlman, Kelsey Grammer, John Ratzenberger and George Wendt gracing the Peacock Theater’s stage in Los Angeles. One person from the 1980s show didn’t visit the reconstructed Bull & Finch Pub, where the former castmates discussed their “long overdue class reunion.” Woody Harrelson, who appeared in the show’s fourth season as bartender Woody, was noticeably absent from the stage. However, the awards show’s producers have since explained his absence. “Woody Harrelson couldn’t make ‘Cheers’ because he’s in a play,” Jesse Collins, an executive producer for the Emmys, said. “So there were a few people where there were just logistical challenges. But we were lucky to get so many people who were willing to participate,” Collins added.

Pierce Brosnan Pleads Not Guilty

Pierce Brosnan is claiming innocence after authorities said he ventured into restricted areas of Yellowstone. The actor pleaded not guilty to two violations stemming from Nov. 1. An initial hearing set for Jan. 23 has been pushed back to Feb. 20 and will take place virtually. Pierce could face up to six months in jail and a $5,000 fine if convicted.

A bunch of internet celebs are starring in a new sandwich competition from Gordon Ramsay. The celebrity chef is launching Idiot Sandwich on his YouTube channel today. Comedy duo Rhett & Link, magician Zach King and social media influencer Lexi Hensler are among those starring in the series, which originated from a clip of Ramsay on The Late Late Show with James Corden where he held two slices of bread against Julie Chen’s face as he was yelling at her in a kitchen. Episodes launch weekly on Ramsay’s YouTube channel, which has over 20 million followers. There are no current plans for a linear show, but the idea is to expand into the world of book publishing, products, merchandising and experiences. Here’s what Gordon said: “It was incredible to watch that one tongue-in-cheek moment, turn into this huge, viral sensation. I’ve been thinking for a while about trying to find a smart way of turning the ‘Idiot Sandwich’ meme into its own series. As an idea that exploded on the internet and across social media, there was no better way to bring this series to life, than having it air as a digital exclusive, have some fun and showcase the sandwich-making skills of some of the biggest influencers and content creators out there.”

Kevin Hart Says He'll Never Host The Oscars After Controversy

Fans hoping Kevin Hart will one day host the Oscars are in for a disappointment. In an interview on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live that aired Thursday, Hart said that gig isn’t going to happen. “Kill the idea of it, it’s not going to happen,” said Hart, when host Andy Cohen said he was “still ready” for him to host the Academy Awards. “There’s just no return of good,” Hart continued. “What is it doing for me? There’s no upside at this point. That’s the only reason why.” In 2018, Hart was announced as the 91st Oscar ceremony’s emcee — until controversy over past homophobic comments he’d made on social media forced him to step down. The Academy then opted to have no host for the 2019 ceremony.

Kristen Steward Calls Twilight 'Such A Gay Movie'

In a new interview with Variety, Kristen Stewart got candid about her movie-making career. The actress revealed that she now recognizes queerness in her Twilight franchise and expressed her disdain for filming Charlie's Angels. “I can only see it now, I don’t think it necessarily started off that way, but I also think that the fact that I was there at all, it was percolating,” Stewart - who came out in 2017 - said of the 2008 teen vampire romance. “It’s such a gay movie.” As for Elizabeth Banks' 2019 reboot of Charlie's Angels, Kristen admitted: “I hated making that movie. I don’t know what else to say.” She then referenced the original 2000 film featuring Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore, adding, “Honestly, the three … you can’t touch [that]. Cameron, Lucy and Drew … I love that movie. I love that movie! If that says anything.”

It’s a very difficult job and not for the squeamish,” Martin wrote on Threads. “I know because I’m still throwing up from the last time I did it in 2010.” Martin has hosted the Oscars three times, two times as the solo host and a third round with Alec Baldwin. After all the criticism, Martin feels that Koy could use this experience for his stand-up. “So, Congratulations to Jo Koy, who took on the toughest gig in show business, hit, missed, was light on his feet, and now has twenty minutes of new material for his stand-up!” Martin added.

Jonathan Majors Opens Up About Assault Trial In GMA Interview

In his first interview since standing trial for assault and harassment of ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, actor Jonathan Majors talked about the trial’s verdict, which he said “absolutely shocked” him. On Dec. 18, Majors was found guilty on one charge of reckless assault in the third degree and on one harassment charge. He was found not guilty, however, on a charge of intentional assault in the third degree and a charge of aggravated harassment in the second degree. (Jabbari had alleged that she was assaulted by Majors in the backseat of a car, with Majors becoming upset when she took his phone out of his hands and saw he was sending texts to another woman.) Yesterday on “GMA,” Majors said the two guilty verdicts left him with feelings of shock and fear, asserting that Jabbari’s injuries “did not happen” as a result of his own behavior. “I wish to God I knew [how her injuries came to be],” Majors replied, when Davis pressed him on how Jabbari fractured her finger and got a cut behind her ear. “That would give clarity. That would give me some type of peace about it… I have no question [I did not cause the injuries].”

Ian Ziering: New Video Shows He Started Fight With Motorcycle Gang

New video in the motorcycle/Ian Ziering fight shows the actor was the first one to throw a punch that triggered a brawl. The video is shot from behind. You see Ian's Mercedes stopped on Hollywood Blvd. - the car in front of him had stopped and blocked his path forward. Members of the 605 Minibike Gang roll up behind Ian's car, with 2 of them stopping right in front of the vehicle. It seems as if they were trying to block him from moving. At that point, there’s no physical contact between the bikers and Ian, or the motorcycle and the Mercedes. Ian gets out of the car and immediately shoves one of the bikers, which then sets off the brawl. The question: Why was Ian so pissed when he stepped out of his car? It would seem something happened between Ian and the gang before the video starts rolling. The LAPD is conducting a felony vandalism/misdemeanor assault investigation.

Pierce Brosnan Cited For Violating Yellowstone Rules

Pierce Brosnan is accused of walking in thermal areas at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Brosnan allegedly stepped off the trail upon which visitors are meant to stay in order to keep away from the park's famous hot springs and geysers. “Boardwalks and trails protect you and delicate thermal formations," the park says on its website, warning that the ground in certain areas "may be only a thin crust above boiling hot springs," with no way to tell if it's a safe place to stand. Plus, the park adds, some "pools are acidic enough to burn through boots." The two petty offenses Brosnan was cited for are listed as "Foot travel in all thermal areas and [within] Yellowstone Canyon confined to trails" and "Violating closures and use limits." The alleged incident occurred on November 1. Brosnan was in Wyoming in October filming the upcoming western “The Unholy Trinity.” The actor was ordered to appear in court in Wyoming on Jan. 23.

Donald Trump Says 'Home Alone 2' Bullying Allegations Are A Bunch Of Bull

There was no bullying involved in the Donald Trump cameo in 1992’s Home Alone 2, says the former president, responding to claims by the film’s director, Chris Columbus, that he bullied his way into the movie. “Nothing could be further from the truth,” Trump said on social media. “That cameo helped make the movie a success. But if they felt bullied, or didn’t want me, why did they put me in, and keep me there for over 30 years?” Trump said they begged him to appear in the movie, but was very busy at the time and didn’t want to do it. But the filmmakers were persistent, so he agreed.

That will be followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia later in the year. The move was announced in a letter sent to subscribers that described the addition of what was termed “limited advertisements” to allow the service “to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time.”

Among the caveats:
There will not be ads on content that is purchased or rented.

Customers in Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and the Mariana Islands will not see ads rolled out.

Valerie Bertinelli Catches Alleged Burglars on Home Cameras After Robberies in Her Neighborhood

The Food Network star shared the "scary" footage on her Instagram story on Wednesday. Valerie Bertinelli caught alleged burglars on camera outside of her home. In a post on her Instagram story, the Food Network star said that her neighborhood has experienced a "string of robberies" -- including her next-door neighbor -- and shared video footage and photos of two men she alleges are burglars. Bertinelli, 62, captured the men on security cameras outside of her home. She alleged that they came to "scope out" her home Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning around 1 a.m., according to time stamps on the footage. In the video she shared, a man wearing a black hat and carrying several bags, including a large backpack, approaches the camera, pauses and looks around briefly. He then turns and walks back in the direction he came from. "I think he stops because he sees my camera lit up," said Bertinelli. "The other one came an hour before him." "F------ scary," she added. The actress also shared a photo from her cameras of the other man, who was also wearing a hat and carrying a large backpack. In the same post, the Valerie's Home Cooking host said that the police came "pretty quickly" following the incident and shared her plans to take extra precautions to protect her home from burglars. "I'm installing more motion detector lights and thinking of putting barbed wire on my front fence," Bertinelli wrote on her Instagram story. "And of course my alarm gets set every night." (People)

Ian Ziering Attacked by Bikers in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve

Ian Ziering was involved in an apparent road scuffle with multiple bikers in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star seemed to be surrounded by a group of people riding mini-bikes on Hollywood Blvd. Ziering, 59, then got out of his vehicle and appeared to get into a physical altercation with one of them.

Soon after the two started fighting, other bikers circled back and surrounded the actor as they all started attacking him. The Sharknado actor then appeared to run away from the group as he tried to cross to the other side of the roadway.

Per the TMZ clip, he was chased by the group and apparently grabbed by the shirt, pushed into another vehicle and struck more than once.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to CW affiliate KTLA that officers responded to the area at Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave. around 3 p.m. on Sunday following "reports of a fight that broke out after the group of bikers were driving recklessly."

The incident remains under investigation, per the outlet.

The LAPD and reps for Ziering did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's requests for comment on Monday. The actor has yet to post about the incident on his Instagram account at the time of publication.

TMZ reported that the actor was listed as a victim in an official report, and that as of 6 p.m. PT Sunday, police had not made any arrests.

In another video released by the outlet, Ziering appeared to be comforting his daughter, Mia, 12, who looked like she was upset by the incident involving her father and the group of riders.

According to TMZ, "Ian and Mia seem physically fine."

In March 2023, at 90s Con in Connecticut, Ziering opened up about his career during a 90210 panel moderated by PEOPLE's Andrea Lavinthal. As he shared at the time, the actor almost had a future in reality TV.

"Shortly after [Beverly Hills, 90210] went off the air, Missy Halperin, who we all know [in casting], said, 'Ian, would you ever consider hosting a reality show?' And I'm like, 'No. I'm an actor.' That reality show was American Idol," Ziering said.

"Not that it was an offer," he added. "But would I consider my name being thrown in a hat."

Still, he joked that he "would have been horrible" and instead has his eyes on The Price Is Right.
