Post Malone And Bob Dylan Began Work On Track That Remains Unfinished

A Post Malone-Bob Dylan collab was once in the works but got shelved by Dylan’s team. Music producer Michael Cash lifted the lid on the would-be song in a new interview with Rolling Stone. He said he came up with the idea and reached out to Dylan’s longtime rep Jeff Rosen. After Rosen gave the project the green light, he sent over lyrics for track “Be Not Deceived” written by Dylan. Malone, a huge fan of the singer-songwriter, was “literally in tears,” remembered Cash. “It was talking about a loss of innocence,” the producer said of the song. “And what people are going through — disfranchised, kind of leaderless masses of children with no parent or guardian or shepherd or anything. It talked about going out and making your own way. And when you read it, honestly, it’s poetry. It’s beautiful.” After work got underway to record the song, it stalled half way through when Malone had to take off, and then never committed to returning to the project. Cash hopes that one day the project will get finished and see the light of day.

The rest of the post featured photos of glaciers and beautiful scenery from her journey and concluded with a pic of the star in cold-weather gear on the deck of the ship. Well, of course, Martha’s post received backlash from her followers who felt her comments ignored the climate crisis. "Martha the ice caps are melting don’t put them in your drink," wrote one person. "I generally love Martha and the excesses of her life because she's about beautiful gardens, homes, and food, but wealthy white people drinking their iceberg cocktails while the planet is in flames is a bit tone deaf," shared another.

It was in his reaction that he revealed he had passed notes to those in front of him asking to be sent any photos he found his way into, which proved to be the deciding factor for his employers. In an update, he revealed: “Long story short I was fired for it. My former security company said they had a rule against taking photos with any of the performers. 50 Cent Questions Nick Cannon Having 12 Kids

In a new Forbes interview, 50 Cent questioned Nick Cannon’s decision to father 12 kids with six different women over the past 12 years. “If I had Nick Cannon’s 12 kids or s—t like that, you could put them all in a bedroom. Everybody’s here. If it means putting everybody together, then it would make sense,” the rapper said when discussing why he prefers a more modest home to having a huge house. “But I’m not going to have kids like that. I don’t want the responsibility of that many women that you got to deal with emotionally, especially after they don’t feel like your friend anymore. That’s too much. I don’t know what the f—k is wrong with Nick Cannon.”

You and Amber do a remake of The War of the Roses. Who wouldn’t go and see that?’” According to Cooper, Depp laughed at the idea of reprising the 1989 movie, in which married couple played by Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner battled with each other, although Cooper added that his friend has always tried to dodge the attention his personal life generates: “Johnny is a good guitarist and in a way he would have been happiest doing that, playing side of stage in a band and not having to deal with the level of attention he gets. He just happens to be a really good actor. He has never seen a single one of his movies.”

Son Of Original 'Snow White' Director Slams Disney's 'Woke, Pathetic' Remake

The son of the original “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs” director slammed Disney’s forthcoming live-action remake of the film as a “pathetic” do-over that would have his father and Walt Disney “turning in their graves.” David Hand, whose father by the same name directed the 1937 fairytale animation, told the Telegraph that Walt Disney Studios’ upcoming adaptation — which has already been blasted for being “politically correct” after leaked images showed the seven dwarfs reimagined as “magical creatures” of all sizes and genders — is “insulting” and “woke.” “I mean, it’s a whole different concept, and I just totally disagree with it, and I know my dad and Walt would also very much disagree with it,” he told the Telegraph. Studio bosses have “destroyed” his father’s creation,” said 91-year-old Hand.

"Blind Side" Author Michael Lewis Speaks Out On The Root Cause Of The Family's Rift

Michael Lewis, the author of The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, the book that inspired the movie The Blind Side, is blaming Hollywood for the rift over money between ex-NFL lineman Michael Oher and his former guardians, Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy. Lewis made that contention in an interview published yesterday in The Washington Post. “Everybody should be mad at the Hollywood studio system,” Lewis said. “Michael Oher should join the writers’ strike. It’s outrageous how Hollywood accounting works. But the money is not in the Tuohys’ pockets.” In a petition filed Monday in Tennessee court, Oher said the Tuohys tricked him into a conservatorship to obtain legal authority to make business deals in his name. Oher claimed the Tuohys and their two birth children each received $225,000 plus 2.5% of the movie’s net proceeds, while he received nothing. Lewis, a childhood friend of Sean Tuohy’s, said the Tuohys received around $350,000 each from movie profits after agent fees and taxes. He claimed the Tuohys planned to share royalties among the family members, including Oher, but Oher declined them. “What I feel really sad about is I watched the whole thing up close,” Lewis said. “They showered him with resources and love. That he’s suspicious of them is breathtaking. The state of mind one has to be in to do that — I feel sad for him.”

Independent Forensics Report: Alec Baldwin Had To Have Pulled The Trigger on 'Rust' Set

An independent forensic report has concluded that Alec Baldwin likely pulled the trigger on the set of his film "Rust," and the gun functioned as intended without any malfunction. The report was carried out by firearms examiner Lucien C. Haag from Forensic Science Services and was commissioned by special prosecutors Kari T. Morrissey and Jason J. Lewis. This report was recently submitted in a legal filing by the defense team of Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the 26-year-old armorer on the film, who faces charges of evidence tampering and involuntary manslaughter. Gutierrez Reed has entered a plea of not guilty in relation to the shooting incident that led to the death of the film's cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, and the injury of director Joel Souza in 2021. Previously, Alec Baldwin faced charges of involuntary manslaughter; however, these charges were dropped in April after prosecutors found evidence indicating that the firearm had been altered in a way that increased the risk of accidental discharge. The new findings presented in this report have raised the possibility of refiling charges against Baldwin.

Report: Apple Is Interested In Buying Disney

Disney CEO Bob Iger has reignited speculation that he intends to sell the entertainment company to Apple — following last week's earnings call. Iger told shareholders that the company is debating a variety of strategic options for how to deal with its current ownership of old school television network ABC and cable networks like FX and National Geographic. Iger went even further on CNBC, suggesting that, in the age of cord-cutting, these legacy TV channels “may not be core to Disney.” That would leave a streamlined Disney holding just the cherished characters and intellectual property that Apple would want for its platforms: Marvel superheroes, Disney princesses, Pixar's creations and the entire Star Wars galaxy.

"Barbie" Beats "Batman," Becomes Warner Bros.' Highest-Grossing Domestic Release

On Tuesday “Barbie” topped $537 million, making it the highest-grossing domestic movie in Warner Bros. Discovery’s 100-year history. The flick surpassed Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight,” which generated $536 million in 2008, for the title. “Barbie” has collected more than $1.2 billion at the global box office since its July 21 release. It is the first billion-dollar film for the newly minted Warner Bros. Discovery, the result of the Warner Media and Discover merger in 2022, and only the second movie released in 2023 to do so. Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” has topped $1.3 billion since its April debut.

Poll: Chris Christie Vaults Ahead Of Desantis In New Hampshire, Now Second Behind Trump

A new poll out of Emerson College in New Hampshire still shows Donald Trump with a big lead in the first-in-the-nation GOP primary. But there’s a big change to the second spot in the poll; Chris Christie has overtaken Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. While the competition remains not-even-close (Trump maintains a wide 40-point lead as the GOP frontrunner with the support of 49 percent of Republican Primary voters in New Hampshire) it’s notable that not only has Christie jumped ahead of DeSantis — who is now polling in the single digits. Christie still has a long way to go to catch Trump, as he only edged out DeSantis at 9 percent.

Taylor Swift Is The Subject Of A New University Course On Social Psychology

A new Arizona State University course is digging in on what psychologists can learn from Taylor Swift’s career. The course, called Psychology of Taylor Swift — Advanced Topics of Social Psychology, is being offered this fall and will be taught by PhD student Alexandra Wormley. “The course is basically using Taylor Swift as a semester-long example of different phenomena — gossip, relationships, revenge,” she said, emphasizing that “the class is not a seminar on how much we like or dislike her — we want to be able to learn about psychology.” She said she’ll be connecting themes from Swift’s various albums to psychology.

Sandra Bullock Subjected To Online Hate Amid Shocking 'Blind Side' Claims

Sandra Bullock has received some hate in the wake of new claims made by former NFL star Michael Oher, who inspired Bullock’s 2009 movie “The Blind Side.” Oher alleged in court documents this week that guardians Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy never actually adopted him, but still profited from his success. The movie was adapted from the 2006 book “The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.” It tells the story of Oher, one of thirteen children born to a drug-addicted mother, and his rise to football stardom after being taken in by the seemingly generous Tuohy family. Some people are rushing to judgment on social media, insisting that Bullock, grieving over the recent death of partner Bryan Randall, is somehow complicit in the dust-up. “Sandra Bullock should give her Oscar back,” slammed sports broadcaster Brandon Walker on X. “She knows she didn’t deserve that s – – t!” “Sandra Bullock yelled ‘run the dang ball’ a couple times and had the academy trembling on their hands and knees,” another person wrote. “For some reason, the whole blind side was fake thing makes me just hate Sandra Bullock,” stated another person.

Kanye's Publicist Has Been Charged In The Trump Indictment

A publicist for Kanye West was charged in the Donald Trump indictment after being found tied to intimidation of election workers. Trevian Kutti was charged for allegedly pressuring Fulton County election worker Ruby Freeman in January of 2021. She went to the Georgia election worker's home to persuade her into admitting baseless election fraud accusations - or face arrest within 48 hours, prosecutors claimed. She introduced herself as a “crisis manager” who was sent by a “high-profile individual,” to manage crises. The 62-year-old election volunteer said Kutti arrived unexpectedly at her door and introduced herself but didn't say she worked for Kanye.

(The Blind Side) Against His "Adoptive" Parents Alleging He Was Tricked Into Signing Conservatorship

Former NFL star Michael Oher's supposed adoptive parents, made famous by the movie “The Blind Side,” are facing his legal petition. Oher claims they deceived him into signing a document that granted them conservatorship for profit. Despite being portrayed as his adoptive parents, Oher asserts that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy used him to acquire wealth. He filed a 14-page petition in Tennessee, stating the central theme of the movie was false. Oher alleges that the conservatorship allowed the Tuohy family to secure a deal for royalties from the movie, leaving him without any earnings. He seeks to end the conservatorship, prevent the use of his name and likeness, and demands a full accounting of the money earned through him. The Blind Side, a Michael Lewis book that became the basis for an Oscar-winning movie, grossed $309 million. Sandra Bullock played Leigh Ann in the movie.

"Shazam" Star Zachary Levi Calls Out Hollywood For Output Of Garbage Content

“Shazam” star Zachary Levi is causing a stink with his comments about Hollywood. He was at a fan event where he called out the film industry for the “garbage” content they output. “I personally feel like the amount of content that comes out of Hollywood that is garbage — they don’t care enough to actually make it great for you guys. They don’t,” Levi said during the Chicago Fan Expo over the weekend while voicing support for the writers and actors on strike. He continued, “How many times do you watch a trailer and go, ‘Oh my god, this looks so cool!’ Then you go to the movie and it’s like, ‘This was what I get?’ They know that once you’ve already bought the ticket and you’re in the seat, they’ve got your money. And the only way for us to change any of it is to not go to the garbage. We have to actively not choose the garbage. It’ll help. It’ll help a lot.”

Lady Gaga's Dad Has A Problem With People Moving In To the Neighborhood

Lady Gaga's father has led the charge against hundreds of migrants who have taken over his New York City neighborhood. He claims they are abusing residents. Gaga’s dad, Joe Germanotta, lives in The Pythian on the Upper West Side - and just down the street, the city transformed the Stratford Arms Hotel into a shelter for 500 migrants. He’s claiming that the streets have been overrun with partying, prostitution, and reckless behavior because of the new neighbors. He told the New York Post: “There's now 500 migrants living in that dormitory. That's when all the mayhem began. Hookers are coming and going. In the mornings, you see prostitutes coming out of the building. The worst part's at night. The noise. It starts at about 10 o'clock, and it'll go until 4 in the morning. Playing music and racing their motocross and motorbikes up and down the streets.” He said that none of the UWS residents were given any notice about the migrant shelter - and trash and needles now litter the once-clean sidewalks.

Olivia Newton-John's daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, said her mom made an appearance two weeks after her death. The Grease star died on August 8, 2022 at the age of 73, following a long battle with breast cancer, and seemingly appeared to her 37-year-old daughter as a blue orb two weeks later. Chloe made the admission to People magazine on Tuesday to mark the first anniversary of her mom’s death. "Two weeks after she passed my phone accidentally took a picture of my dog, and there floating by his head was a little blue orb, the same color as this," she told the publication while touching an aquamarine necklace that once belonged to her mom. "Mom and I had talked years back," Chloe continued. "We'd watch these paranormal shows, and I'd say, 'You gotta show up for me.' And she was like, 'I'll show up as one of those orb things.'"

Author John Green Blasts Indiana Library For Removing 'The Fault In Our Stars' From Young Adult Section

Author John Green criticized an Indiana library system after it pulled his novel The Fault in Our Stars from shelves in its Young Adult section. Green spoke out against the Hamilton East Public Library Board of Trustees' decision to move the book, along with hundreds of other books, to a different section of its libraries in Fisher, Indiana and Noblesville, Indiana. The new policy targets books that are considered not "age-appropriate." "The Fault in Our Stars was removed from the YA section in the suburbs of Indianapolis and is now considered a 'book for adults.' This is ludicrous. It is about teenagers and I wrote it for teenagers. Teenagers are not harmed by reading TFIOS. This is such an embarrassment to the city of @FishersIN," Green wrote. He continued: "I only have a small voice in these decisions, of course, but you won’t catch me alive or dead in Fishers, Indiana until these ridiculous policies are revoked." Green’s book was relocated from the teen to the general section of the library "based on criteria included in the Board-approved Hamilton East Public Library Collection Development Policy," Hamilton East Public Library said in a statement. "This policy also includes a process for patrons to object to the placement of any item in the collection." Green’s book is the story of a teenage cancer patient who meets and falls in love with a teen from her cancer support group. The 2012 book was later adapted into a movie starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. It has sold more than 23 million copies worldwide.

Bill Maher Blasts 'Barbie'

Bill Maher took to Twitter (or X) on Monday to tell his followers that he had seen “Barbie” and promised a “review” to follow. Yesterday, Maher gave that review - kind of.

Here’s his full review:
Spoiler alert, Barbie fights the Patriarchy. Right up to the Mattel board who created her, consisting of 12 white men! The Patriarchy! Except there’s a Mattel board in real life, and it’s 7 men and 5 women. OK, not perfect even-steven, but not the way the board IN THE MOVIE – which takes place in 2023 – is portrayed. And not really any longer deserving of the word “patriarchy.” Yes, there was one, and remnants of it remain – but this movie is so 2000-LATE. At one point the Barbies have to win over the Kens, and they are told to do it by pretending to act helpless and not know how to do stuff. Helen Gurley Brown called, she wants her premise back. Yes, that WAS a thing. I saw “Barbie” with a woman in her 30s who said, “I don’t know a single woman of any age who would act like that today.” I know, I know, ‘How could I know about the patriarchy, I AM a man!’ That argument is so old and so silly. Of course, none of us can know exactly what others go through life, but I can see the world around me, and I can read data. The real Mattel board is a pretty close mirror of the country, where 45% of the 449 board seats filled last year in Fortune 500 companies were women. Truth is, I’m not the one who’s out of step – I’m living in the year we’re living in. Barbie is fun, I enjoyed it – but it IS a #ZombieLie. And people who don’t go along with zombie lies did not take some red pill – just staying true to CURRENT reality. Let’s live in the year we’re living in! Hi Ken!!!

Kelly Clarkson Is Moving To NYC

Kelly Clarkson is getting ready to leave Los Angeles; moving trucks were seen at her Toluca Lake, California home yesterday. Kelly is saying goodbye to the mansion she bought for $5.4 million after divorcing her ex-hubby, Brandon Blackstock, in 2021. Kelly revealed back in May that she and their two children were heading to the East Coast as they needed a fresh start. She also confirmed that she would be moving her daytime talk show to New York City.

Adam Devine's Marvel Theory: 'Superhero Movies Ruined Comedies'

Adam Devine has a theory about the effect that Marvel films had on the general audience and said that “superhero movies ruined comedies.” On This Past Weekend with Theo Von, Devine talked about the quality of comedies in Hollywood. He said that although TV comedies are still good, he can’t say the same about movie comedies. “My theory is I think, I think like Marvel ruined it,” Devine said. “I feel like superhero movies kind of ruined comedies. Because people go to the theater and you expect to watch something that costs $200 million to make and comedy movies aren’t that.” He noted that moviegoers are stuck in a predicament about where to spend their money opting for a bigger budget production where you get more bang for your buck.

Sandra Bullock's Longtime Partner Dead At 57

Sandra Bullock's longtime partner Bryan Randall died over the weekend. He was 57. His family released the following statement: "It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request." "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours," his family added. Bullock first met Randall, a model-turned-photographer, when he photographed her son Louis's birthday back in 2015. They took their relationship more public later that year, including an appearance at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's wedding.
