A Texas grand jury has declined to indict rapper Travis Scott and organizers of the Astroworld Festival in Houston after a stampede in November 2021 left 10 people dead. Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced the grand jury's decision in a news release, stating that "a tragedy isn't always a crime." "It is tragic that 10 innocent people were killed while trying to enjoy an evening of music and entertainment, something many of us do routinely and without a second thought to our safety. But a tragedy isn't always a crime, and not every death is a homicide," Ogg said. Ogg noted the grand jury had issued six no-bills, ending the criminal investigation, but that the grand jury's determination "has no impact on the many civil lawsuits pending." Tens of thousands of people are said to have rushed the stage when Travis Scott appeared at the festival, leaving thousands reportedly injured and 10 people dead, including two victims under the age of 15.

No end in sight,” he wrote, adding the hashtag “How Will Global Warming Effect [sic] Air Travel?” He followed up an hour later, with another selfie from the runway, writing: “Why are US airlines so sh***y? Madonna is recovering from a "serious" health scare after landing in the ICU over the weekend. As a result, the 64-year-old singer's highly-anticipated world tour is rescheduled. A source tells Yahoo Entertainment "she is out of the ICU now and recovering."

Guy Oseary, the icon's longtime manager, released a statement on Wednesday and revealed that Madonna developed a bacterial infection.

"On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU," he wrote on social media. "Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. Law enforcement officials consider Terry a suspect, though the incident is under investigation with no known motive. David Corenswet will replace booted Henry Cavill in the new Superman film, Superman: Legacy. Choreographer Wade Robson's allegations of childhood molestation against Michael Jackson will lead to an upcoming trial. The California Court of Appeal recently cleared the path for Robson to present his case, asserting that Jackson allegedly molested him at the Neverland Ranch when Robson was between 7 and 14 years old. Robson is pursuing legal action against MJJ Productions, Inc., Michael Jackson's corporation. Jackson's company lawyers argued that the corporation did not have a legal obligation to protect Robson or others from Jackson's actions, as they had no control over his behavior. While the trial court accepted the Estate's argument initially, the Court of Appeal held a contrasting viewpoint. Based on a preliminary ruling, the case is now set to be returned for trial. Robson maintains that when he immigrated to the United States from Australia as a young boy, Jackson formed a friendship with him and subjected him to sexual abuse.

His new company is called The Results Are In, the phrase he would announce before revealing someone’s paternity on the show. “I’ve seen firsthand how DNA testing can change lives and bring families together. With ‘The Results Are In,’ we’re making it easier and more affordable than ever before for people to get the answers they need,” Povich said in a statement to TMZ on Friday. There are instructions in each kit explaining how to collect a DNA sample, which the user would then send off to a lab. Actor Jonathan Majors will stand trial in August on charges of assaulting and strangling his ex-girlfriend. Majors was arrested on March 25 in New York City on domestic violence allegations and later charged with several counts of assault and aggravated harassment. His ex-girlfriend told officers that she was assaulted and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries to her head and neck. Majors previously claimed that witness testimony and video evidence will prove his innocence amid allegations he's facing of domestic violence against his ex.

The Recording Academy is implementing changes to the Grammy Awards, including a new rule that restricts the highest honor to human creators, addressing the use of artificial intelligence in music. According to the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Protocols" released last Friday, they stated, "A work that contains no human authorship is not eligible in any category." This rule was established during the academy's board of trustees meeting, where it was decided that AI-infused works are eligible if a human creator makes a "meaningful" contribution to the music and/or lyrics. The new requirements emphasize the significance of meaningful human authorship. Additionally, the Recording Academy announced changes to other categories. To receive a nomination for the album of the year category, a music creator must now contribute at least 20% of the work, including credited artists, featured artists, songwriters, producers, engineers, mixers, and mastering engineers. This differs from the previous decision in 2021, which allowed any contributor to receive a nomination. Moreover, the number of nominees in the "Big Four" categories, including best new artist, album, song, and record of the year, has been reduced from ten to eight. Previously, the "best music film" category required 50% of the documentary footage to be performance-based. However, the Recording Academy has removed this requirement.

Netflix has revealed the new and returning cast members of Squid Game season two. The survival thriller will see the comeback of four original characters from its first series. Also announced at the Tudum global fan event in São Paulo, Brazil, were the names of four characters joining the show. After setting up his return in the end of the first series, main character Lee Jung-jae will be reprising his role of Gi-hun - determined to make the people responsible for the competition pay for their atrocities. Alongside him, season one returnees will include Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), the leader of the masked staff behind the game and Hwang Jun-ho (Wi Ha-jun), a detective who sneaks into the game in search of his brother. The teaser also confirms that Gong Yoo, who appeared in season one, returns as the mysterious man in the suit who initially invited Gi-hun to play the game. Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk will also be returning to direct and executive produce the second season of the series, due to start production later this year. New players joining the game are Yim Si-wan (Unlocked), Kang Ha-Neul (Midnight Runners), Park Sung-hoon (The Glory) and Yang Dong-geun (Yaksha: Ruthless Operations).

Pete Davidson is facing a reckless driving charge following a car crash into a Beverly Hills home earlier this year. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office recently filed one misdemeanor count against Davidson, three months after the incident occurred. The arraignment is set for July 27. According to a spokesperson from the DA's office, they believe Davidson's reckless driving led to the serious collision with the home, fortunately without causing severe injuries. In March, while driving a Mercedes-Benz at a high speed, Davidson's car jumped a curb, hit a fire hydrant, skidded across a front lawn, and ultimately collided with the corner of the house.

Live Nation Entertainment is introducing an “all-in pricing experience” that will eliminate hidden fees and allow prospective ticket buyers to see a concert or event’s true cost before making a purchase. “Fans typically know tickets will include service fees, but seeing the total cost from the start makes buying tickets easier and consistent with other retail shopping experiences,” the company said in a press release. According to The New York Times, SeatGeek is also introducing a similar feature to display events’ total costs. President Biden had called out the ticketing giants for their “junk fees” during his State of the Union address in February. “We can stop service fees on tickets to concerts and sporting events and make companies disclose all the fees upfront,” he said. Yesterday, Biden met with people from several events companies to discuss the new pricing commitment.

Ed Sheeran stars in a new ad for his hot sauce Tingly Ted's. In the ad, he’s joined by a huge angry bear “Ted” as the two sit in a diner enjoying a variety of meals with the hot sauce. Ed and Ted pour the Tingly and Xtra Tingly sauce on eggs, fried chicken, a burger and tacos. Tingly Ted’s, which can be bought for £6 at supermarkets, launched in March and Ed said it’s perfect to add to everything from breakfast to late night snacks. Actor Treat Williams has died at the age of 71 after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Vermont. He passed away on Sunday afternoon when a car cut him off, his agent, Barry McPherson, and his devastated family confirmed. He told People: “He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off. I'm just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented.” Williams, best known for his roles in Everwood and Hair, was enjoying his weekend mowing the lawn at his Vermont home just hours before the tragedy. He was married to actress Pam Van Sant, and together they had two children. Williams shot to fame after his debut role in the thriller Deadly Hero in 1975. He also performed in 1976's The Ritz and The Eagle Has Landed. In 1979, he starred as George Berger in the film Hair, which was based on the Broadway musical. He also played Dr. Andrew Brown in Everwood - and he received two SAG Award nominations for his work on the show.

Pat Sajak is stepping down as the host of Wheel of Fortune after more than four decades. “Well, the time has come,” Sajak said in a statement to Bloomberg News yesterday. “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.” Sajak has hosted the syndicated game show since its nighttime debut in 1983. He also hosted the daytime edition from 1981 to 1989. Prior to Sajak, Wheel was hosted by Chuck Woolery since the show’s premiere in 1975. A replacement for Sajak wasn’t included in the announcement, though plenty of Wheel fans have already taken to social media to campaign for Vanna White.

Marlon Wayans was removed from a United Airlines flight and cited for disturbing the peace Friday. The comedian shared an Instagram video in which he addressed the citation and recounted an interaction with an unnamed gate agent. "Yes, a ticket. That’s all they could give me," he wrote in the caption. "Dude tried to lie and say I assaulted him. The video clearly shows i never touched him. He was desperate to try to have some authority." Wayans continued, "I’ve flown over 15,000,000 miles in my lifetime and I rarely have had problems. Anyone knows who knows me knows I’m a mild mannered dude. This agent was clearly picking on me." "He asked me to consolidate my bags and i complied. Then said now i have to check the bag because now since I consolidated it into one bag it was too big. At that point i said ‘see now you’re just f----- with me.’ So i grabbed my ticket off the counter got on the plane." He went on to say that he wanted compensation for the missed shows as well as an apology to his fans, adding that he would be contacting his attorneys.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck slammed Donald Trump for using a speech from their recent movie in a campaign ad without express consent. Trump posted a video on his Truth Social Saturday, featuring Damon's monologue as the Nike marketing and sales representative Sonny Vaccaro in the Affleck-directed film “Air.” It shows Trump stepping out of planes and greeting supporters as Damon says: “Money can buy you almost anything. It can't buy you immortality, that you have to earn.” Damon then talks about facing adversity as those who once supported you try to tear you down in the film about Nike's partnership with Michael Jordan, which Trump took advantage of for his new campaign ad complete with an AI-produced image of him kneeling in prayer. The video then dissolves into a crowd at one of Trump's rallies chanting “U-S-A, U-S-A” before showing a donation screen with the phrase “Make America Great Again.” After the video was posted, a spokesperson for Artists Equity, Damon and Affleck's production company, told the Daily Beast the Trump campaign didn’t have permission to use the monologue. “We had no foreknowledge of, did not consent to and did not endorse or approve any footage of audio from Air being repurposed by the Trump campaign as a political advertisement or for any other use,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “We hereby expressly give notice that in the case of any use of material from Air by the Trump campaign where approval or consent is required, we do not grant such consent.”

Fox News is threatening to sue Tucker Carlson for violating his contract with the launch of his new Twitter show - already watched by more than 80 million people. In a letter obtained by Axios, lawyers for Fox News are said to have sent official correspondence to Carlson's legal team claiming he was in breach of his contract when he aired his new Twitter show Tuesday night. Carlson's lawyers reportedly argued any legal action by Fox would be a direct violation of their client's First Amendment rights, as the newscaster is said to be looking for a way out of a $25 million-a-year contract with the company.

Since the production of "E.T.," Steven Spielberg has played a significant fatherly role in Drew Barrymore's life. However, when Barrymore, at the age of 7, asked Spielberg to be her real father, he declined the request. Barrymore revealed to Vulture that Spielberg remains "the only person in my life to this day that ever was a parental figure." Following Spielberg's refusal, he did agree to become her godfather. Arnold Schwarzenegger has opened up about the abuse he suffered at the hand of his parents during his upbringing in the upcoming Netflix documentary titled, Arnold. The actor grew up in Thal, Austria, with his military father, Gustav - a wartime Nazi party official, and his “cleanliness fanatic” mother, Aurelia. In the first episode of the project, Arnold spoke about what it was really like for him and his late brother to grow up as the son of decorated Nazi soldier, who returned to Austria from the war as a broken man and went on to unleash abuse on his family. “Our upbringing was very tough. The brutality that would be at home, the beatings that we got from our parents sometimes,” the actor said. Arnold revealed his belief that his “tyrant” father may have suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, which was revealed in the way he would smack his children and hit them with the belt.

A tweet went out yesterday morning that suggests a new coaching team that’s made up of Beard (Brendan Hunt), Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) and Nathan (Nick Mohammed) could be in the works for a season four or spinoff of Ted Lasso. Mohammed responded with an emoji suggesting that he was keeping his lips zipped. Apple has yet to make it official whether Ted Lasso or is over or if some sort of spinoff is in the works.

TMZ is reporting that Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have broken up. A friend close to the situation told the outlet that Swift is single again, but the reason for their split is unknown. However, a source told Entertainment Tonight that scheduling and incompatibility were the causes. “Taylor and Matty broke up. Bam, who is embroiled in a nasty custody battle with estranged wife Nicole Boyd who he claims is keeping him from son Phoenix, five, has sparked mass concern with his social media rants - and has been deemed a danger to himself and others. LAPD police officers found him at Trejo's Tacos on Sunday by tracking his phone - and called in a psychiatric evaluation team. It was claimed when they met with Bam, they determined he needed to be placed under a 5150. He was taken to a mental health facility but it’s unclear if he is still getting treatment.

Renfield, a contemporary Dracula spinoff movie starring Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Hoult, will get its streaming premiere on Peacock June 9. Chris McKay -- whose credits include The Tomorrow War and The LEGO Batman Movie -- directed the horror-comedy, which hit theaters in April. It’s about what happens when a vampire's loyal servant discovers he wants more out of life. "Renfield is forced to procure his master's prey and do his every bidding, no matter how debased," said a synopsis from Universal Pictures. "But now, after centuries of servitude, Renfield is ready to see if there's a life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness. If only he can figure out how to end his codependency."

Mark Wahlberg is pushing to create a new Hollywood in Las Vegas months after he left his Los Angeles home to give his kids a better life. On Wednesday, the actor lobbied Nevada state lawmakers to pass a bill that would increase tax credits for film production from $10 million per year to $190 million per year over the next 20 years. “I would love to see us building studios, creating jobs and just diversifying the economy,” Wahlberg told CNBC. “I've moved my last film here. I'm shooting another film here coming up in the summertime.”
