Alec Baldwin Settles $25 Million On Defamation Lawsuit

Alec Baldwin appears to have settled a $25 million lawsuit with the sister of a Marine who was killed in Afghanistan. This follows Baldwin publicly shaming her for her attendance at the Capitol riot on January 6. Journalist Emily Miller reported that the actor settled the defamation case against Rylee McCollum's family. McCollum was among the service members who perished in the Kabul bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport during the Afghanistan withdrawal in August 2021. Initially, Baldwin had contributed $5,000 to the Marine's family's GoFundMe, established by Roice McCollum, Rylee's sister. However, upon discovering her participation in the Capitol riot, Baldwin inundated her with messages and later shared her Instagram handle with his social media following, wishing her "good luck." Attorney Dennis Postiglione conveyed his clients' satisfaction that the matter is now resolved, expressing their anticipation of moving forward without Alec Baldwin in their lives. In response, Baldwin's attorney told DailyMail.com that no payment was made by Baldwin to settle the case. Family members, when approached by Miller, indicated their inability to provide further details on the case.

Post Malone Drops In Unexpectedly At Irish Bar In New Zealand And Sings With Band

Post Malone dropping in unexpectedly at an Irish bar in New Zealand and singing with a band -- if that sounds like the makings of a really good time to you, this video proves you're damn right! Check out this footage TMZ obtained ... Posty is singing "What I Got" by Sublime at a tiny venue -- relative to the arenas he normally plays --. and we're told the performance was a total surprise. Folks who were there say Post showed up around 9:30 PM Sunday at Danny Doolan's Irish pub in Auckland. He arrived with a few friends and stayed for the next 4 hours, partying with everyone at the bar. You know where this is going ... bar patrons kept encouraging him to grab the mic and sing with the live band, cheering him on until he ultimately hopped on the stage. In addition to covering a Sublime song, he also sang "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers. Two solid choices, no doubt. Post is in town because his "If Y'all Weren't Here, I'd Be Crying" world tour stops Tuesday night in Auckland -- but the lucky Kiwis at Danny Doolan's got a mini-show for free!

Disneyland's First-Ever World of Frozen Opens Up Its Gates in Hong Kong

Disneyland's First-Ever World of Frozen Opens Up Its Gates in Hong Kong! 'Frozen' fans can experience three attractions, including a roller coaster, in the new land. Finally, they're opening up the gates -- to Disneyland's first-ever World of Frozen! In the new land at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, which opened to the public on Monday, fans of Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven can immerse themselves in the magical world of Arendelle and experience three new attractions. The two new rides in the land, which is located on Hong Kong's Lantau Island, include Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleigh, a roller-coaster adventure through Arendelle Forest, and Frozen Ever After, a boat ride to Elsa's Ice Palace while characters from the movie sing songs including "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?," "For the First Time in Forever" and, of course, "Let It Go." (The latter attraction previously opened at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park in June 2016.) Cast members playing Elsa, Anna and Kristoff will also walk around the land interacting with visitors, according to CNN, while a band will play music. Frozen fans can also visit the Playhouse in the Woods, a new immersive theater experience with Anna and Elsa, the Northern Delights confectionary shop, and the Golden Crocus Inn, where they can tuck into Nordic-inspired dishes including a meatball platter and seafood medley. According to CNN, Disney Imagineers spent more than three years working on the concept and design of the World of Frozen, which is divided into two areas: Arendelle Village and Arendelle Forest. "World of Frozen represents Hong Kong Disneyland's largest and boldest expansion since it opened in 2005," said Josh D'Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, per a press release from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. "Our theme parks always grow and evolve with new stories and experiences, and it is exciting to make all these new worlds come to life for our guests," he added. "As Walt Disney said, 'Disneyland will never be completed as long as there is imagination left in the world.' At Disney Experiences, the possibilities are endless." Meanwhile, Jennifer Lee, Frozen's creator and co-director, told USA Today that she felt like she was actually in the fictional Arendelle when she visited the land. "It looks as if it's in the fjords, and it's built into the natural landscape in Hong Kong. And it's just so stunning, but it's emotional," she said. "For those of us who worked on the film, we were part of every detail, and the Imagineers took every detail and they made it real. Even a funny jar of lutefisk that we had a meeting about in Oaken's Trading Post is there." "I'm just still so emotional and so grateful that Disney has decided that this deserves a land," Lee added. Last week, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger revealed that a Frozen 4 was in the works, nine months after announcing an upcoming third Frozen movie. While speaking to Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan from the World of Frozen in Hong Kong on Thursday, Iger said, "I'll give you a little surprise there, Michael: Frozen 3 is in the works and there might be a Frozen 4 in the works, too." "I don't have much to say about those films right now," continued the executive, 72. "But Jenn Lee, who created Frozen -- the original Frozen and Frozen 2 -- is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories." The opening of World of Frozen comes as the movie franchise celebrates 10 years since the first film was released in November 2013. Frozen and Frozen 2 (2019) made a combined $2.73 billion at the worldwide box office.

Teen Mom Janelle Evans' Son Runs Away And Is Put In Protective Custody

The teenage son of "Teen Mom" star Jenelle Evans is hospitalized after running away once again, and this time Child Protective Services is taking custody of Jace ... TMZ has learned. Sources with direct knowledge tell us, Jenelle's 14-year-old son ran away from his grandmother's home Saturday, and wasn't found until 11:45 PM Sunday. Jace had previously run away from Jenelle's home several times and was placed under the care of Jenelle's mom, Barbara. Our sources say Jace is now in a hospital, and CPS will place him in foster care as he's run away so many times. Our sources say Jace, was recently busted for vaping at his school ... and when grandma found out, she took away his phone. We're told Barbara had been advised by Jenelle, CPS and the foster care team not to give Jace a phone in the first place, but she thought he could handle it. When Barbara took the phone away as punishment, we're told Jace split, prompting this latest search for the teen. Running away has become a trend with Jace ... as we've reported, this is at least the fourth time he's run away from home ... including the time in September when he slipped out a window on the same day Jenelle's husband, David Eason, is accused of roughing him up. Remember ... Jace spent most of his childhood in Barbara's care, but Jenelle regained custody earlier this year, only for him to run away from home a bunch of times, and end up at Barbara's house again. As we told you a couple weeks ago, Jace is keeping his distance from Jenelle and David. Our sources say CPS officials are exasperated by the case -- they're worried about Jace, but at this stage, if he gets in any more trouble, he could end up in a juvenile detention facility.

Biden Grew More Worried About AI After Watching "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning"

President Biden found motivation in the latest Mission: Impossible movie, prompting swift action to counter the growing threats posed by Artificial Intelligence (AI). On Monday, he signed an executive order hoping to strike a delicate balance between advancing cutting-edge technology and safeguarding national security and consumer rights. During a weekend at Camp David, Biden watched Tom Cruise's “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” with Deputy White House chief of staff Bruce Reed. Reed noted that Biden’s apprehensions about AI were significantly amplified by the film. In the Mission: Impossible movie, the antagonist is a sentient and rogue AI named “the Entity,” which ruthlessly sinks a submarine and claims the lives of its crew within the first few minutes. Reed revealed in an interview: “If he hadn't already been concerned about what could go wrong with AI before that movie, he saw plenty more to worry about.”

Trump's Former Attorney Says Trump Will Be Jailed For Violating Gag Order

Donald Trump has defied a gag order in his federal election case related to January 6, a move that could land him behind bars, according to his former lawyer Ty Cobb. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan reinstated the gag order on Sunday, which had been temporarily lifted for nine days after Trump's legal team protested, citing infringement on his free speech rights. Under this order, Trump was forbidden from targeting witnesses, prosecutors, or court officials. Despite this, he resumed attacking Judge Chutkan, whom he labeled a "TRUE TRUMP HATER" on his Truth Social website. Ty Cobb, who served in the Trump White House during the Mueller probe, mentioned that another judge, Arthur Engoron, had already fined Trump $10,000 for violating a separate gag order in a New York case, preventing him from targeting court staff. Cobb expressed his belief that Judge Chutkan, observing Trump's recent behavior, might impose a harsher penalty, potentially leading to a night or a weekend in jail. Last night on CNN, he said: “I think judge Chutkan prudently allowed Trump to try to persuade her to extend the gag order. She concluded on the basis of his conduct this week not to do so. And I think she'll come in with a much heavier penalty and ultimately I think he'll spend a night or a weekend in jail.”
