Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin said yesterday he would absolutely consider a presidential run, giving himself until around Super Tuesday to decide whether to launch a third-party bid for the White House. Manchin sat down with NBC's Meet the Press host Kristen Welker after announcing Thursday that he would not seek another term in the U.S. Senate. Pressed by Welker on what he would do next, the West Virginia Senator said he would “Do anything I can to help my country.” “And you're saying, ‘Does that mean you would consider it?’” he said of a presidential bid. “Absolutely. Every American should consider it, if they're in a position to help save the country.”
