Filmmaker Oliver Stone offered some choice words about movie franchises “John Wick” and “Fast & Furious” yesterday, slamming them as not believable - and worse. Stone, director of such classics as Platoon and Natural Born Killers, slammed the Keanu Reeves-led kill series as needlessly violent, and the long-running car series as done to death. The comments came as Stone said he viewed the most recent John Wick movie while on a flight to Romania last week. Taking the time to also slam movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Stone expressed his frustration about the popularity these films have seen in recent decades. He said these movies have lost touch with reality, and that “the audience perhaps likes the video game.” As for himself, Stone said: “I get bored by it.”
