Chris Pratt 'Cried About' Backlash to His 'Healthy Daughter' Comment: 'My Son's Gonna Read That'

Chris Pratt isn't immune to being upset by public backlash, especially when his kids are involved.

Last November, the actor became the subject of social media backlash after posting a "just because" tribute to wife Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt on Instagram. Alongside a photo of the couple, the actor, 43, wrote in part, "She's given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes I put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that's love!"

Some felt the "healthy daughter" comment was insensitive toward ex-wife, Anna Faris, with whom he shares 9½-year-old son Jack. Their son was born two months premature and experienced numerous health issues in the aftermath of his birth.

In a recent interview with Men's Health, Pratt addressed the backlash he received for the first time, sharing that he "cried" and was extremely "bothered" by the situation.

"I said something like, 'Find someone who looks at you the way my wife looks at me.' And then I gave her some s— in the thing and said, 'But I love you. I'm so thankful for my wife — she gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter,'" the star explained. "And then a bunch of articles came out and said, 'That's so cringeworthy. I can't believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born premature. That's such a dig at his ex-wife.'"

"I'm like, That is f—d up. My son's gonna read that one day. He's 9. And it's etched in digital stone. It really f—ing bothered me, dude. I cried about it. I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are — to the people close to me — a real burden."

While on the red carpet for his new movie The Terminal List last week, Pratt celebrated how Jack "does a great job as a big brother" to newborn daughter Eloise Christina and Lyla Maria, 22 months.

"There's a big age separation... [and] he does a great job, he's so sweet with them," Pratt told Entertainment Tonight. "And they love him so much and they miss him when he's gone."

Last week, Schwarzenegger Pratt shared a sweet birthday post celebrating the actor as a husband and father on his birthday.

"Birthday Boy!" she wrote in her caption. "Happy birthday to you ! We love you so much! I feel like the luckiest in the world to live life with you."

"You're the most loving father, the most supportive partner and you have the biggest heart and we are so blessed to feel and witness your love," the author added. "Happy happy handsome."

Ghislaine Maxwell, Accomplice to Jeffrey Epstein, Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Sex Trafficking

Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison today for her role in sex trafficking girls alongside financier Jeffrey Epstein.

In addition to her prison sentence, Maxwell was fined $750,000, the maximum allowable.

Maxwell, 60, was found guilty in December of recruiting, enticing and transporting minors to engage in illegal sex acts with Epstein. The charges were laid out in an indictment involving allegations from four different accusers.

"To you, all the victims ... I am sorry for the pain that you experienced," Maxwell said after listening to numerous victims who gave victim impact statements. "It is my sincerest wish to all those in this courtroom and to all those outside this courtroom that this day brings a terrible chapter to the end, to an end. And to those of you who spoke here today and those of you who did not, may this day help you travel from darkness into the light."

At the sentencing, attorney Sigrid McCawley read a statement from her client Virginia Giuffre, a survivor who reached an out-of-court settlement in her sexual assault lawsuit against Prince Andrew earlier this year.

"I want to be clear about one thing: without question, Jeffrey Epstein was a terrible pedophile. But I never would have met Jeffrey Epstein if not for you," it said. "Ghislaine, you deserve to spend the rest of your life in a jail cell. You deserve to be trapped in a cage forever, just like you trapped your victims."

"Maxwell's conduct was shockingly predatory. She was a calculating, sophisticated, and dangerous criminal who preyed on vulnerable young girls and groomed them for sexual abuse," prosecutors wrote in a court filing obtained by the Associated Press.

During a press conference following Maxwell's arrest in 2020, then U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss detailed some of the allegations against Maxwell, asserting that she helped Epstein "identify, befriend and groom minor victims of abuse" — including girls as young as 14 — and sometimes "participated in the abuse herself."

Strauss stated that Maxwell and Epstein would take girls out to the movies and on shopping trips and pretend to take an interest in them.

"After developing a rapport with the victims, Maxwell then tried to normalize sexual abuse with a minor victim through a process known as grooming," Strauss said, explaining that Maxwell would discuss sexual topics with the girls, undress in front of them and be present for sex acts involving the girls and Epstein.

Sexual contact between the victims and Epstein would often begin with "sexualized massages," during which the underage girls were fully or partially nude, according to Strauss. The massages opened the door for further sexual encounters "where Maxwell was sometimes present and participated," she added.

"It was Ghislaine who was the real enforcer," Sarah Ransome, an Epstein survivor, told PEOPLE in 2021. "She was the enforcer. She was the groomer. She controlled everything."

Last December, Maxwell was found guilty of conspiracy to entice minors to travel in interstate commerce with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity; conspiracy to transport minors in interstate commerce with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity; transporting a minor with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity; conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors; and sex trafficking of a minor.

At her sentencing, a series of victim impact statements were read aloud from women who were abused by Epstein and Maxwell.

Annie Farmer, one of the four women who testified at Maxwell's trial last year, filed a statement ahead of the sentencing.

"I ask you to bear in mind how Maxwell's unwillingness to acknowledge her crimes, her lack of remorse, and her repeated lies about her victims created the need for many of us to engage in a long fight for justice that has felt like a black hole sucking in our precious time, energy, and well being for much too long now."

Machine Gun Kelly Says He Had a Suicide Attempt While on Phone with Megan Fox: 'I Just Snapped'

If you or someone you know is considering suicide, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), text "STRENGTH" to the Crisis Text Line at 741-741 or go to suicidepreventionlifeline.org.

Machine Gun Kelly is opening up about his struggles with mental health.

In his new Hulu documentary Life in Pink, which premiered Monday, the "Papercuts" singer gives fans an intimate inside look into his life.

About halfway through the film, the star (born Colson Baker) — who's engaged to actress Megan Fox — opens up about falling into darkness after the death of his father in 2020.

"I flew to my dad's apartment to clear all this stuff out. I had this really weird interaction with this neighbor who told me all these things I didn't want to hear," he says in the film of his father, who died on the one-year anniversary of his Hotel Diablo album release. "That f----- me up even more because I couldn't get closure on it. I wouldn't leave my room and I started getting really, really, really dark."

He continued, "Megan went to Bulgaria to shoot a movie and I started getting this really wild paranoia. Like I kept getting paranoid that someone was gonna come and kill me. I would always sleep with a shotgun next to my bed, and like, one of the days, I just f------ snapped."

"I called Megan, I was like, 'You aren't here for me,'" he added. "I'm in my room and I'm like freaking out on her and dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth and I'm yelling on the phone and like the barrel's in my mouth. I go to cock the shotgun and the bullet as it comes back up, the shell just gets jammed. Megan's like dead silent."

The scary moment was a turning point for the musician, who says he realized afterwards there was something "not right" with how he was feeling.

Fox, 36, and Baker's 12-year-old daughter, Casie, also expressed their concern for him, he recalls.

"They simultaneously came at me with this like, 'I want to like, be able to see in your eyes. I don't want to like be talking to you through a veil anymore. I want to see you as my father and I want to see you as my husband-to-be,'" he says in the doc. "I was like, 'I need to kick the drugs, for real this time.'"

The star has been open about his ups and downs over the past few years. In December 2020, he shared that he was seeking therapy for his struggles in an interview with

"Currently, my drug of choice is happiness and commitment to the art, rather than commitment to a vice that I believed made the art," he said at the time. "I'm taking steps. I had my first therapy session last Thursday. That's the first time I ever went, 'Hey, I need to separate these two people,' which is Machine Gun Kelly and Colson Baker. The dichotomy is too intense for me."

In his new Hulu documentary, he also reflects on the positive impact Fox has had on him.

"Megan became like the sun to me — like the one that I revolve around and gives me life and like helps me grow," he said. "It's just like every fairytale that they never told you in school, that they never taught you. Like the passion between us is otherworldly. I know I've known her in so many other lifetimes."

The couple, who confirmed their relationship in July 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, got engaged in January this year and sealed the union by drinking "each other's blood."

Shortly after the pair got engaged, a source told PEOPLE that the engagement wasn't a shock to those who know them.

"They had been talking about it for a while," the insider said. "For those two, it was very much a love at first sight situation. They spend every waking second together."

Kelly also recently opened up to PEOPLE about the pair's relationship, and revealed their last romantic moment took place overseas.

"We slow-danced to Frank Sinatra in Italy," he said. But the last was probably sitting at a table and drawing each other the way that we see each other. It was just spontaneous."

She then added, “What’s the serious talk for??? Lighten up ladies … we’re on the same side … remember ???” The clip appeared to be a direct response to comments Lynne made to a photographer while leaving LAX last week. Samuel L. Jackson Has Some Words For Justice Clarence Thomas

Samuel L Jackson has dubbed Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas “Uncle Clarence” after the conservative justice wrote an opinion defending the court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade - and suggested using the logic to overturn other landmark decisions. “Uncle Clarence” is an apparent reference to the eponymous character of abolitionist Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel “Uncle Tom's Cabin,” who was widely seen as compliant and subservient to his white masters. In his tweet on Saturday, Jackson wrote: “How’s Uncle Clarence feeling about overturning Loving v Virginia??!!” The 1967 case declared that state bans on interracial marriages violated the Equal Process Clause and the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution. The decision apparently led to Thomas getting married to Virginia Lamp, a white woman, 20 years later. But in his opinion defending the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade on Friday, and eliminate a woman's Constitutional right to an abortion, Thomas suggested the court should consider overturning other landmark decisions. Thomas called for his colleagues to reconsider and potentially overturn other cases decided on the legal authority of substantive due process.

Viewers of ABC’s “The View” want Whoopi Goldberg be fired for going “nuts” while live on air. Fans of the show have called for the producers to have a casting rearrangement after Whoopi has faced a series of blunders recently. On Friday Whoopi took to the panel and discussed parenting when she used the word “a**,” leaving fans shocked. She said: “Sometimes you have to be an a** to be a parent.” The actress’ language didn’t sit well with fans, as they took to Twitter to share their views. One wrote: “Whoopi and Sunny's [Hostin] foul language was a bit much today.” Another posted: “Someone needs to start pushing back on Whoopi. I have a feeling someone will not let her interject one day which will cause Whoopi to go full-on nuts honestly. She has gotten exponentially worse this season so I hope next time contract negotiations are up it's time to go, or work less days.”

An Australian hostess was left stunned Saturday after she denied singer Katy Perry a table at a cafe in Port Douglas. Perry was in Australia with her partner, Orlando Bloom, who is currently shooting a movie called “Wizards!” Perry had requested a table from the hostess, Indianna Paull, but was told there were none available. Paull revealed this in a now-deleted TikTok. “When you are the first dumb oblivious b**ch to tell Katy Perry she has to wait for a table,” read the caption of the video. Paull admitted on TikTok that she didn’t recognize Perry under the sunglasses and hat and told the singer that she would have to wait. While Perry initially argued with Paull over the lack of tables in the cafe, according to the hostess’s account, the singer later tipped her generously for treating her like a “normal person.”

Bill Cosby Is Found Guilty Of Sexually Abusing 16-Year Old Girl At The Playboy Mansion In 1975

Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl at the Playboy Mansion in 1975. A Los Angeles County jury delivered the verdict in favor of Judy Huth, who is now 64, and awarded her $500,000 yesterday. Jurors determined Cosby intentionally caused harmful sexual contact with Huth, that he reasonably believed she was under 18, and that his conduct was driven by unnatural or abnormal sexual interest in a minor. Huth's lawsuit was one of the last remaining legal claims against him after his insurer settled many others against his will. Huth testified that in a bedroom adjacent to a game room where the three had been hanging out, Cosby attempted to put his hand down her pants, then exposed himself and forced her to perform a sex act.

Last night on “The Late Show,” Stephen Colbert addressed the arrest of several of his Late Show staffers and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, joking that it was “first-degree puppetry.” Seven people, including Robert Smigel, who is known for being the creator, puppeteer and voice of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, who were filming a segment for the CBS show were arrested Thursday night in the Longworth House Office Building by U.S. Capitol Police. Colbert said, “Thursday evening, after they’d finished their interviews, [my staff] were doing some last-minute puppetry and jokey make-em-ups in a hallway, when Triumph and my folks were approached and detained by Capitol Police, which actually is not surprising. The Capitol Police are much more cautious than they were 18 months ago and for a very good reason. If you don’t know what that reason is I know what news network you watch.” “The Capitol police were just doing their job, my staff was just doing their job, everyone was very professional, everyone was very calm. My staffers were detained, processed and released. A very unpleasant experience for my staff,” he added.
