LEONARDTOWN, MD – St. Mary’s County Government’s Department of Public Works & Transportation (DPW&T) advises motorists that the entire intersection of Spruce Drive and Gunston Drive will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Northern portion of the intersection will be temporarily closed on Thursday, September 10, 2026, and Friday, September 11, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Message boards and traffic control measures will be in place during the closure to help direct traffic through the area. Motorists are advised to use caution and remain alert to work crews, changing traffic patterns, and equipment. Please consider alternate travel routes to avoid delays.
