The free event will give families and community members an opportunity to meet the organizations providing youth mentoring services through the Health Hub and learn about other health and wellness resources available at the site.
Representatives from Stella’s Girls, YMCA of the Chesapeake, Divine by Design, and A Star Within LLC will be available to introduce their programs, answer questions, and help families connect with services. Other Health Hub programs and community partners will also be on-site to share resources and helpful items.

The Health Hub brings a variety of health and wellness services together in one convenient location for St. Mary’s County residents. Working with community organizations, the Health Hub helps connect individuals and families with services that fit their needs.
Youth mentoring partners at the Health Hub provide young people with supportive relationships and opportunities to build confidence, leadership skills, resilience, and a stronger sense of connection. Mentoring can also help youth strengthen academic and life skills as they work toward their goals.
“Every young person deserves to have people in their corner who believe in them, encourage them, and help them see what is possible,” said Dr. Meena Brewster, St. Mary’s County Health Officer. “By bringing these mentoring organizations together at the Health Hub, we’re making it easier for young people and their families to connect with trusted support right here in St. Mary’s County.”
