LEONARDTOWN, MD – St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks is pleased to introduce new options for recreational equipment rentals through its partnership with Rent.Fun. Visitors of Snow Hill Waterfront Park, Chancellor’s Run Regional Park and Lexington Manor Passive Park can now rent kayaks, paddleboards, and equipment for pickleball, disc golf, and bocce ball from self-serve kiosks.
Kiosk equipment rentals are activated through Rent.Fun’s app. A download code and directions are included on signage at each kiosk.
Follow these steps to use a kiosk for the first time:
- Download the free Rent.Fun app from the QR code or search for the Rent.Fun app in your smartphone’s app store. Then create an account.
- Start your rental, and unlock your equipment by scanning the QR code or entering the locker number in the app.
- Play and have fun! Remember to handle the equipment with care and return it in the same condition.
- End your rental by returning the equipment to the correct locker, securing the locker and uploading a photo of the returned equipment to the app.
Snow Hill Waterfront Park
- Kiosk Location: Kayak launch area
- Equipment Available: Three solo kayaks, two tandem kayaks, and three stand-up paddleboards. Paddles and life jackets are included with all watercraft rentals.
- Cost: $25 per watercraft for up to two hours and $40 for up to four hours. You can also become a Rent.Fun GO Member and reserve watercraft all day for $50, or all week for $60. Visit www.rent.fun/kayak-rental/st-mary's-county-md for more details.
Chancellor’s Run Regional Park
- Kiosk Locations: Pickleball and bocce court area
- Equipment available: Two pickleball paddles with six balls and six bocce balls with one pallino.
- Cost: $5 per hour for each equipment set.
Lexington Manor Passive Park
- Kiosk Location: Near the U.S. Colored Troops Interpretive Center
- Equipment Available: Three discs (driver, mid-range, and putter discs) and a carry bag.
- Cost: $5 per hour for set.
