PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Sept. 1, 2026 – The Calvert County Department of Planning & Zoning invites residents, business owners and community members to provide input on the Huntingtown Town Center Master Plan during a community meeting Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department, 4030 Old Town Road in Huntingtown.

The meeting will give the public an opportunity to share feedback as the county begins the process of updating the Huntingtown Town Center Master Plan. The meeting will also be livestreamed on Calvert County’s Youtube channel.

Originally adopted in 1993, the Huntingtown Town Center Master Plan has guided land use, transportation, community facilities, economic development and environmental stewardship within the town center for more than 30 years. Updating the plan provides an opportunity to evaluate current conditions, address community needs and establish a vision for Huntingtown’s future.

The Huntingtown Town Center Master Plan implements the Calvert County Comprehensive Plan, which identifies Huntingtown as one of the county’s designated town centers. While the comprehensive plan establishes the county’s overall vision for growth and conservation, the master plan provides detailed recommendations tailored to the Huntingtown community.

Community input will play a vital role throughout the planning process. Residents and business owners are encouraged to participate in public meetings and other
