On Friday August 28th at 4:12 a.m., 55 firegfighters from the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on La Plata Road. the fire was discovered by a county deputy and it took the firefighters 20 minutes to control the blaze. 32 people were displaced due to the fire.  One person was transported due to an injury during the evacuation.  For additional information, please contact 410-414-3600.
