PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Aug. 4, 2026 – Calvert County Government
informs residents that Amazon Data Services Inc. (also referred to as AWS) has
formally withdrawn its Calvert Technology Center Conceptual Site Development Plan 
application and has decided not to pursue the proposed data center project in Calvert 
County. 
AWS submitted the Conceptual Site Development Plan application in May 2026 
for a proposed data center development near the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant in 
Lusby.
