Two Knives Recovered From Student At Benjamin Stoddert Middle School
Two knives recovered from student at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School: On May 16, a school administrator at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School was made aware of a student, age 12, who had a knife. Upon further investigation, two knives were actually recovered from the student. The knives were in the student’s pocket and had not been displayed. In accordance with MD law, due to the age of the student, they cannot be charged; however, the school resource officer will notify the Charles County Department of Juvenile Services for potential services. The student also faces disciplinary consequences from the Charles County Public Schools in accordance with the Code of Student Conduct.
