Student In Possession Of A Knife At TC Martin Elementary School
Student in possession of knife at T.C. Martin Elementary School: On April 29 at 3:42 p.m., at school dismissal, school administrators at T.C. Martin Elementary School were made aware that a student was in possession of a knife, which was in their pocket. The knife was recovered, and the student was given consequences from the Charles County Public Schools for violating the Code of Student Conduct. The school resource officer (SRO) was notified. In accordance with Maryland law, the student, age 11, cannot be charged due to their age. Parents are urged to talk with their children about bringing items to school that are prohibited.
