The Calvert County Department of Public Works, Project Management Division, announces upcoming improvement work to South Flint Hill Road in Owings. Work is expected to begin May 28, 2024, and last three weeks, weather permitting.
Crews will conduct tree trimming, storm drainage improvements, curbing installation in certain locations and paving between 7002 South Flint Hill Road and 7021 South Flint Hill Road. South Flint Hill Road will be closed for active construction between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays); the road will be open to traffic 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, on weekends and holidays. During closures, access will be available using North Flint Hill Road.
