The Department of Public Works advises citizens that a section of Main Street in Prince Frederick will be temporarily closed to all motor vehicle traffic as crews conduct overnight water line work for construction of the County Administration Building from May 21-23. A section of Main Street will close on the following schedule:
· Main Street overnight closure begins Tuesday, May 21, at 6 p.m.
· Main Street reopens to through traffic the morning of Wednesday, May 22, through 6 p.m. with steel plates in roadway to cover holes.
· Overnight closure resumes Wednesday, May 22, at 6 p.m. Water and Sewer will temporarily turn off water to the courthouse and Lusby Hardware to tie in the new water line.
· Water and Sewer will turn water back on after water line tie-in is complete and Main Street reopens to traffic the morning of Thursday, May 23.
· Main Street closure resumes to complete work overnight Thursday, May 23 at 6 p.m.
Electronic message signs are posted to guide motorists to the detour route. Motorists are advised to slow down, stay alert and use caution around the work area.
