Suspected cannabis recovered from student at Thomas Stone High School: On January 2 at 8:30 a.m., a school administrator at Thomas Stone High School found suspected cannabis on a student. The school resource officer was contacted and he recovered the cannabis. In accordance with MD law, the student will be charged on a civil citation for possession of cannabis. Student at Henry Lackey High School to be charged with assault: On January 2, three students at Henry Lackey High School were engaged in a verbal argument. The school resource officer attempted to intervene at which time one of the students attempted to swing at the officer. The officer was able to gain control of the student and de-escalate the situation. The student will be charged with assault and affray.
