Michael Douglas Warns Actors Against Affairs With Co-Stars After Admitting 1984 Fling With Kathleen Turner
Categories: Entertainment
Michael Douglas is offering some advice to Hollywood's younger generation: Don't fall in love with your co-star. The actor recently admitted in his new memoir, One Helluva Ride, that he had a secret affair with Kathleen Turner while filming the 1984 hit Romancing the Stone. The problem? Douglas was married to his first wife, Diandra Luker, and Turner was dating her future husband. Douglas says getting romantically involved with a leading lady can create a nightmare if the relationship falls apart and the two actors still have to perform love scenes together. He admitted the affair grew out of their chemistry and time working together, with the two sneaking around after filming. His wife eventually showed up on the Mexican set with their young son, effectively bringing the romance to an end. Turner had previously denied the affair but now seems unfazed by the revelation, saying she loves Douglas and looks forward to enjoying his book.
