Alan Ritchson And 'Fast & Furious' Scribe Chris Morgan Team On MotoGP Heist Thriller At Netflix
Alan Ritchson's partnership with Netflix is getting a whole lot bigger. After the huge success of "War Machine," which racked up nearly 140 million views in its first three months, Netflix has signed Ritchson to a first-look feature deal through his production company, Dancing Skeleton. The first project under the new partnership is an untitled action thriller set in the high-speed world of MotoGP. Ritchson will star as a former motorcycle racing prodigy recruited by Interpol to stop an international gang stealing priceless antiquities. The mission gets personal when he discovers the gang's leader may actually be his younger brother, who was believed to be dead. The screenplay comes from Chris Morgan, one of the key writers behind the Fast & Furious franchise, and the pitch has been described as Fast & Furious on motorcycles. The movie will also have the official support of MotoGP, with the racing organization consulting on the production to help bring authenticity to the film.
