Ryan Gosling Unveiled As Ghost Rider At Marvel's Comic-Con Panel

Ryan Gosling is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the new Ghost Rider. Marvel made the announcement during its Comic-Con panel, confirming months of fan speculation. The movie is set to hit theaters in 2028 and reunites Gosling with director Shawn Levy and writer Jonathan Tropper, who are also working with him on Star Wars: Starfighter, scheduled for release in May 2027. Ghost Rider was previously played by Nicolas Cage in the 2007 film Ghost Rider and its 2011 sequel, which earned a combined $361 million worldwide. The character, Johnny Blaze, is a motorcycle stunt performer who sells his soul and becomes Marvel's supernatural Spirit of Vengeance. An interesting twist: Gosling's longtime partner, Eva Mendes, starred in the original Ghost Rider movie as Roxanne Simpson, but Marvel didn't reveal whether she'll return for the reboot.
