Jason Sudeikis' 'Ted Lasso' Season 4 Paycheck Revealed

Jason Sudeikis says he almost walked away from "Ted Lasso" for good—even though he was making a reported $1 million per episode. He said his decision had nothing to do with money, explaining that after Season 3, Ted's story felt complete with the character returning to Kansas City to be with his son, and he didn't want to bring him back just for a paycheck. Sudeikis eventually changed his mind, saying playing Ted Lasso's relentlessly optimistic character had a positive impact on his own life, especially during his difficult custody battle with Olivia Wilde. According to reports, he was the last major holdout as the cast and creators hoped for another season but didn't pressure him. Season 4 takes the series in a new direction, with Ted returning to coach a women's soccer team. Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Juno Temple are back, while Phil Dunster won't be a series regular because of scheduling conflicts. "Ted Lasso" returns to Apple TV+ on August 5.
