Prime Video has announced that its new limited series "The Greatest," based on the life of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, will premiere on Wednesday, November 4. The release date was revealed during a presentation at the Essence Festival of Culture, where creator and showrunner Ben Watkins appeared alongside star Jaalen Best and several cast members. Prime Video also debuted the first teaser trailer for the eight-episode series. Best stars as Ali in what is being described as an intimate look at the boxing champion's life, exploring both his accomplishments inside the ring and his impact as a humanitarian and global icon. The project is notable for being the first authorized scripted television series about Ali's life. His widow, Lonnie Ali, serves as an executive producer, helping ensure the story reflects the family's vision of the late champion's legacy.
