Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest Set For July 4 On ABC, ESPN Networks
The annual Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest returns to Coney Island tomorrow, with eating champions Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo looking to add to their legendary resumes. Chestnut is chasing his 18th championship and Sudo is aiming for her 12th overall title and fifth consecutive victory. The men's contest will air nationally on ABC and ESPN as part of the America 250 celebrations, while the women's competition will stream on ESPN platforms earlier in the day. ESPN is broadcasting the event for the 23rd straight year. Chestnut enters with the men's world record of 76 hot dogs and buns, while Sudo holds the women's record after eating 51 last year. Both competitors will once again have dedicated "isolation cameras" focused solely on their performances. In addition to the competition, Nathan's Famous will donate 100,000 hot dogs to the Food Bank for New York City, continuing its annual charitable tradition.
