Anya Taylor-Joy is heading to Middle-earth. The actress has joined the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, where she'll play Seren, a skilled Sindar Elf and trusted agent of King Thranduil. The film will be directed by and star Andy Serkis, who is reprising his iconic role as Gollum. The movie also brings back several familiar faces from the franchise, including Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Elijah Wood as Frodo, and Lee Pace as Thranduil. Set for release on December 17, 2027, the film is part of an expanding Lord of the Rings universe, with another Middle-earth movie, Shadow of the Past, also in development.
