Dean Cain Under Fire Over Cruel Joke Mocking Supergirl Star Milly Alcock's Appearance

Former Superman actor Dean Cain is facing criticism after reacting to a social media post that mocked the appearance of actress Milly Alcock, who stars in the upcoming Supergirl. The controversy began when an online user compared Alcock to Cha-ka, a primitive human character from the TV show Land of the Lost. Cain replied, "Dang it... I laughed," along with a smiling emoji. His response quickly drew backlash from fans, many accusing him of being disrespectful and tarnishing his legacy as Superman. Cain later defended himself by saying he never called Alcock ugly, but he appeared largely unfazed by the criticism. The incident comes after Alcock previously spoke about the intense scrutiny women face in major franchises. The actress, who rose to fame in House of the Dragon, said she has learned that women in high-profile roles are often subjected to constant commentary about their appearance. Meanwhile, Supergirl is set to hit theaters later this month as part of the rebooted DC Universe.
