Scarlett Johansson Confirmed For The Batman 2 As Director Teases New Cast Members For Sequel
Scarlett Johansson is officially headed to Gotham. Director Matt Reeves confirmed the longtime rumor that the Marvel star has joined The Batman Part II, the sequel to the 2022 hit starring Robert Pattinson as Batman. Reeves made the announcement in his usual cryptic style, posting a series of GIFs on X featuring Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance and Sebastian Koch — immediately sending comic book fans into full detective mode. According to reports, Stan will play Harvey Dent, the future villain Two-Face, while Dance is rumored to portray Harvey’s father, Christopher Dent. That has fueled speculation that Johansson could be playing Gilda Dent, Harvey’s wife from the comics. Reeves only teased her arrival with the message: “Next exit, Gotham... Welcome.” In Hollywood, that’s basically the Bat-Signal.
