"Big Bang Theory" Spinoff "Stuart Fails To Save The Universe" Drops Apocalyptic First Teaser, Sets Official Release Date

HBO Max has officially released the first teaser trailer for Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the newest expansion of the The Big Bang Theory universe. The new 10-episode comedy premieres July 23 at 9 p.m. ET, with new episodes dropping weekly. The teaser debuted during the Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation in New York, where stars Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, and John Ross Bowie appeared onstage to announce the release date. The series centers on comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, played by Sussman, who accidentally triggers a multiverse disaster after breaking a device created by Sheldon and Leonard. Stuart then teams up with his girlfriend Denise, geologist Bert, and eccentric physicist Barry Kripke to try to restore reality — although, according to the show’s title, things don’t exactly go smoothly. The show promises alternate-universe versions of familiar “Big Bang Theory” characters and leans heavily into sci-fi chaos and comedy. The series was co-created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady.
