The Harry Potter television reboot just scored a Season 2 renewal months before its debut episode even airs. Multiple outlets — including Deadline, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter — confirmed that HBO is confident enough in the series to greenlight another season early, with production set to resume this fall. Season 1, premiering December 25 on HBO and Max, adapts Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Season 2 will move directly into Chamber of Secrets.
