Glen Powell Announces Fox McCloud Roll In 'Super Mario Galaxy Movie'
Glen Powell just grabbed a controller and leveled up—he’s officially voicing Fox McCloud in the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie. He broke the news himself on Instagram, rocking McCloud’s jacket and bouncing around a theater like he just hit a power-up, dropping the classic “barrel roll” line for good measure. For anyone who hasn’t been living in a Nintendo universe, Fox McCloud is the hotshot pilot from the Star Fox franchise—the guy who saves galaxies before breakfast. He’s never been part of the core Mario games, but thanks to Super Smash Bros., these characters have already thrown hands before. Powell’s joining a stacked voice cast: Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Donald Glover as Yoshi, and Brie Larson as Rosalina. The movie—helmed again by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic—hits theaters April 1.
