Jelly Roll On The Moment He Realized He Reached A New Threshold Of Fame
Jelly Roll is recalling one of his made-it moments. Over two decades into his career, the singer recently realized he reached new level of fame when he visited Los Angeles. "I'll tell you this, this show was the first time I couldn't walk down Rodeo Drive," Jelly Roll told People. "For real. I'm California famous now," he adds. Jelly Roll released his first mixtape in 2003 — but it wasn't until 2023's "Son of a Sinner" that he scored his first No. 1 on country radio. “I go to Rodeo Drive every time I'm here," he says. "The white trash kid who wants to go to Beverly Hills Cookies or something. And I'm always excited to go over there because nobody knows me. This was the first time me and my wife [were recognized]."
