Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are officially back for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Even though the prequel takes place 24 years before the original series, the story includes a scene where an older Katniss and Peeta listen to Haymitch recount his brutal 50th Hunger Games. The film focuses on 16-year-old Haymitch during the deadly Second Quarter Quell, where 48 tributes are thrown into the arena. The book has already been a monster hit, racking up over 1.5 million first-week sales, and the trailer pulled in a massive 109 million views in 24 hours — the second-biggest trailer launch in Lionsgate history. The movie will be out November 20, 2026.
