Kevin Costner Eyeing To Play Bill Clinton In United Nations TV Series

Kevin Costner and Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up to executive-produce United, a TV series in early development created in collaboration with the United Nations. The show centers on the UN’s humanitarian mission to East Timor in 1999. Costner is negotiating to play President Bill Clinton, and Chukwudi Iwuji is being eyed to portray UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. The series is written and directed by David Raymond, who has long collaborated with the UN to develop stories highlighting real-world acts of courage and sacrifice by humanitarian workers. United is planned as an ongoing anthology-style project dramatizing true UN missions. Production is expected to film in Atlanta and Spain next year, with Appian Way (DiCaprio’s company), Onwards Studios, and Prime Focus DNEG producing. Fifth Season will handle distribution.
