Pamela Anderson is finally clearing the air about her buzzed-about relationship with Liam Neeson. She tells PEOPLE that yes, the two were romantically involved, but only briefly and only after filming The Naked Gun. She says they spent an “intimate week” together at his upstate New York home — complete with separate rooms, assistants present, and even family visiting. During that week, Neeson jokingly introduced her at dinner as the “future Mrs. Neeson,” and the two bonded over simple things, like gardening. At one point, he even ran off a bear outside the breakfast window while in his bathrobe. After their “romantic lost week,” they headed off to new projects. They reunited during the movie’s press tour and were openly affectionate, including a playful lip-balm moment on Watch What Happens Live. Anderson insists their connection was real, not a publicity stunt, and describes it as something out of a cozy Nancy Meyers film. But in the end, she says they’re better as close friends.
