Julia Roberts lit up the 2025 Gotham Awards with Luca Guadagnino at her side. She and Guadagnino were honored with the Visionary Tribute award for their collaboration on After the Hunt, Roberts’ psychological-thriller turn as Yale professor Alma Imhoff. Paul Rudd presented the award, after which Roberts launched into a playful bit, “translating” Guadagnino’s English speech into faux-Italian. She joked she needed to wrap things up quickly because she hadn’t “regulated her water intake,” then praised the creative community for keeping things together “in a world that seems to be crumbling.”
