Jada Pinkett Smith Told Will Smith's Friend He Would "Catch A Bullet" If He Kept Telling Her Personal Business Complaint Claims

Jada Pinkett Smith is being sued for $3 million by Bilaal Salaam, a longtime associate of Will Smith who says he worked closely with the actor for decades and even appears in Will’s memoir. Salaam claims Jada confronted him in a Calabasas lobby in September 2021 during Will’s private birthday event — reportedly with a seven-person entourage — and verbally threatened him for “telling her personal business.” He alleges she told him he could “end up missing or catch a bullet” if he didn’t stop talking, and demanded he sign an NDA “or else.” According to the lawsuit, her team followed him to his car while continuing the threats. Months later, after refusing to help with “crisis management” after the 2022 Oscars slap, Salaam says he began receiving threats from the Smiths’ circle and became the target of a retaliatory smear campaign — especially after it was discovered he was writing a whistleblower-style memoir and did an interview that went viral. He previously made sensational claims in a 2023 YouTube interview about walking in on Will with actor Duane Martin — allegations Jada publicly dismissed as “ridiculous” on The Breakfast Club. Salaam now says Jada falsely accused him of trying to “shake them down” and claimed the couple would pursue legal action, which he says never happened. He’s suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress, saying Jada and her “emissaries” tried to intimidate, bribe, and silence him, causing financial damage, reputational harm, emotional distress, health issues, and derailing his career.
