Amazon MGM Studios just dropped the second trailer for Project Hail Mary, the upcoming sci-fi thriller directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and starring Ryan Gosling. The movie hits theaters and IMAX on March 20, 2026. The story follows Ryland Grace (Gosling), a schoolteacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship with zero memory of who he is or why he’s there. He eventually pieces together that he’s on a last-chance mission to figure out what’s killing the sun. He’s not alone for long: he encounters an alien he nicknames Rocky, who’s facing the same cosmic disaster in his own star system.
