Adele To Make Acting Debut In Tom Ford's Next Film
Adele is stepping off the stage and onto the big screen. After saying she wanted a long break from music, she wasn’t kidding — she’s trading the mic for movie scripts. She’s set to make her acting debut in Cry To Heaven, Tom Ford’s new self-financed film based on Anne Rice’s 1982 novel. The story follows a Venetian nobleman and a castrated opera singer in 18th-century Italy — so yeah, Adele picked a project with zero chance of being boring. The cast is stacked: Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany, Mark Strong, Hunter Schafer… basically everyone with cheekbones sharp enough to star in a Tom Ford movie. Production starts soon in London and Rome, and the film’s eyeing an autumn 2026 release. Adele’s dabbled on-screen before — a quick Ugly Betty cameo, plus that little Bond theme you might’ve heard, Skyfall. But this is her first real acting role.
