The hit video game franchise Call of Duty is officially getting the Hollywood treatment. Paramount Pictures and Activision just announced that Peter Berg (Lone Survivor) and Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Wind River) are joining forces to co-write, produce, and direct the upcoming live-action film adaptation. The powerhouse duo previously worked together on Hell or High Water and Wind River — both gritty, grounded stories with military and moral undertones, making them ideal fits for the Call of Duty universe. Originally launched in 2003 as a World War II shooter, the Call of Duty franchise has since evolved into a modern warfare powerhouse, selling over 500 million copies worldwide.
