Jim Carrey is reportedly in talks to play George Jetson in a live-action The Jetsons movie, according to The Wrap. Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) is also in discussions to direct and co-write the script. The original Jetsons cartoon, which premiered in 1962, followed George, his wife Jane, kids Judy and Elroy, their dog Astro, and robot maid Rosie as they lived high above the clouds in Orbit City. Though it only ran for three seasons, the show became a syndication classic and even spawned a 1990 animated feature film. No other casting announcements have been made.
